What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

I think Lou Reed had something to say about that situation. Daizawaguy taking a walk on the wild side

    Hats

Kilo, I believe your post was something bordering "the voice of reason," and as such is to be commended. However, this is the hat section on a site called The Fedora Lounge lol

HOLY GRAIL? /What fedoras are you pining for?

This is from the "What Hat Are You Wearing" thread recently. It seems JtL has unloaded the oft-maligned, much admired, famous, and infamous, Vicorona.

    The Stetson One-Hundred "100"

Which brings up another question. At one point in time the Stetson 100 cost $100. At some point in time, the Stetson 100 broke free of the $100 price and became more of a quality designation. I guess I'm still puzzled by that picture in the Open Road thread of the $672 price with (100)...

    Seventh Doctor's Hat

That hat doesn't appear to be a panama, but looks to be creased in the optimo style with the brim upturned. It has a pugaree type ribbon which could be easily done on a panama. I'd probably go in that direction if it were my hat.

Ebay Hats: Victories, Defeats, Gripes & Items of Interest

Tooch, I checked out the pictures and it looks like it's in fantastic shape. I'm sure you're going to be very happy with that hat! And what a great price for a nice, old vintage lid...

    Post New Hats Here!

Dave E, that hat suits you well. You can almost pass for one of the hipster crowd as it's not too tall of a crown and has some taper. You wear it well. You really DO need a brown lid. (And putty, and moonstone, and gray, etc., etc...)

    The Open Road Guild

Okay then, what is the 100 in parentheses? I guess I was thinking (apparently foolishly) that a Stetson 100 cost $100 back when this hat was made.

Woody, I'm fairly certain yodeling is mandatory with that one! It's different, but I like it...

    The Open Road Guild

Nice Open Road treatise, Jimmy. I'm curious about the price marked on that tag. It looks like it says $672.00 (I can't really make out the numbers with certainty) and then in parentheses (100.00.) What do you make of that? Is it Canadian or some other country?

At the Dog Track... The Whippets

No idea if thin felt is a common Whippet attribute, but those are both great hats, Michaelshane. The brown one does look very soft. It looks like it will take any crease with ease.

    Hat color selection

Michaelshane, from most of the pics I see of you (let alone your avatar) I would have thought I'd see a silverbelly/taupe/light tan in there.

Woody, you'll find some discussion of gastronomic delights in The Connoisseur section of The Fedora Lounge. You'll also wade through some of the other finer things in life, like cigars, pipes, booze, beer, etc. Give it a gander...

I don't know if it's worth MY $21, but it's certainly worth yours - I'm sure you'll have that one looking pristine in short order, Scott.
