    Unpopular music opinions

:eusa_clap:eusa_clap:eusa_clap:eusa_clap:eusa_clap Thank you! Couldn't have said it better myself. I only read the first ten pages and the last for now, but I do really dislike the Beatles, Bruce Springsteen and most old men clinging to drugs, sex, and rock'n roll. I also absolutely hate...

    Beauty?

I disagree, because there are a lot of people that are generally considered beautiful whom I don't find attractive at all. Same goes for my husband, but maybe we have just odd tastes... :D

Comments You Get When You Dress Vintage

Well, you are very glamorous Miss G! I went to have an eye test done the other day and was wearing a big mustard box pleated and belted skirt with a crinoline, a twin set, a matching bag and heels. The opticians kept whispering amongst each other and as I was paying said they just had to know...

German fashion magazines (1939 und 1940)

That sounds really interesting, what are your findings about 1940's German women so far? I find that even today women in Germany don't generally wear as much make-up as women here in the UK or in North America. It seems like a completely different aesthetic and you can tell from advertising...

German fashion magazines (1939 und 1940)

Even though there were some men who would have liked to push the no-make-up for the arian wife rule, this was apparently largely ignored, especially among the wives of NS leaders. I guess during the war make-up wasn't easily available, so if women stopped using it it was because of lack of...

    The Golden Era's *ugliest* clothes

Oops, missed this. Interesting photos and article. I know what you mean, as a teenager I worked in a chocolate factory in the summer and a bee made it's way into my lab coat I was wearing and I got stung in the armpit. Not pleasant! And that was just one. Ok, back to ugly outfits :)

How did it not rip when she sat down? I'm presuming she arrived by car, so had to sit at some point.

Ooh, Miss G, love those shoes! Can't wear heels for the most part as I have a problem with my feet et the moment, but love looking at them anyway. Yes, it is Asos and I saw it first on Gok Wan's show and got slightly obsessed with it. It is made from quite heavy cotton twill, and fits my biggest...

Lovely items everyone! So excited for spring, even though it's been grey and rainy here again after a bout of summery weather. I have been wanting this skirt for months, after seeing it on a tv show, and actually emailed the manufacturer to find it, but it was sold out in my size forever, and...

    Pale or Tan?

I'm actually not that bothered by either. I have olive but pale skin in the winter, but tan steadily in the summer and wear a moisturiser with SPF every day. When I was a child and on holiday with my parents they used to slather the sunscreen on and then discovered that I hardly ever burn. I tan...
