Absinthe, my friend... Good to hear from you...Frank Billingsly now says that we are just going to get tropical storm force winds 50 to 75 mph. Making a stiff hat soft
I find that each consecutive wetting in the rain or manually in the tub or a watering trough, will make a cowboy hat softer. I will sometimes manually manipulate the felt with my hands to make it softer.- Biltmore Bob

Everything is battened down, plenty of water and food. Linda and the kids are staying. Traffic on all roads is bumper to bumper for miles. The major N to S Freeway through Houston is Hwy45 and there is a 100 mile back up from Houston north. If you didn't get out there's no way now. Folks...- Biltmore Bob

This ain't my first rodeo. Linda and the kids are leaving early Fri. morn to Seguin, outside San Antonio. Predictions are that my area will get 75 to 100 mph winds, with possible tornadic activity. These are golden age accurate, would you do it?
I don't have much use for sweaters or ties, and yes I sometimes wear my hats with the brim snapped up all the way around. I don't wear ties much unless it's a really formal ocassion. When dressing up with a jacket you could say that I have the "Monk" from the USA Network style...ie...I button...- Biltmore Bob
