Hi Tea Hi Tea!
For some reason we Americans persist in confusing "Afternoon Tea", the Upper Class mid-afternoon restorative invented in the early 19th century by the Duchess of Bedford as a way of getting around a mid-afternoon energy dip in an age when lunch was seldom eaten. She established...

A Brief Encounter
The other day while strolling along to my local java joint, I realized that I had left my Nokia nagger back at the manse. I needed to get my bookie on the horn or my knees might not be with me by sunset. I knew that the corner coffee house was devoid of coin operated blowers...
Swiss Army Greatcoat
I bought one of these from Sportsman's Guide about ten years ago, and it still looks sharp. Everytime I wear it I get compliments. I also had the Swiss version of the German M-43 cap. But some basta*d stole it. Warmest hat I ever had.
I'd love to find another one, the new...
Sorry
I wasn't aware. Please forgive my faux pas. But I still need your advise. What is the best way to adjust to fit if the hat is just a bit oversized? Or will it look too strange? Thanks.
Fitting Question
I'd really like to try for this one, http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=390034829372&ssPageName=ADME:B:WNARL:US:1123
But it's a 7 1/2, and I wear a 7 3/8. Can I adjust the hat to fit somehow, or will it look odd? I'd appreciate your advise.
Thanks all.

Tried them both.
And finally settled on neither. For going on 20 years now I have worn my watch on the side of my wrist in line with my
thumb. 95% of the time I never have to turn my wrist to see
the face. And it never bangs into anything. I haven't damaged a watch since I started wearing...
I just acquired a Cuenca "Havana" model from Panama Bob.
The weave is so supple that when I try to snap the front brim, it won't stay snapped. How do I shape this hat so it stays? This is my first post, but I've been lurking for months.
The knowledge and wit and wisdom on this forum just blows...
