    PO'd about stains

Follow this at your own (suit's) risk. I thrifted a beautiful, but very soiled and crusty, 1957 Hickey-Freeman three-piece a while back. I don't know if it had 'pp' in it but it looked like it had hung for several decades in an environment of settling dust and tobacco smoke. I have a can of...

Fantastic! :eusa_clap Several of my best pairs came into my possession in fairly shabby shape. Well made vintage shoes can usually be refurb'd and they are worth the effort. :)

I got your note, cco', and I sent one back. Have fun at your gig and we'll talk in a week or so. :) Thanks, MPicciotto, for pointing him to this. I think it'll turn into a happy ending for this book.

Thanks, bro'. Nicki gets all the credit for being the 'green thumb' around here. Her gardens (English cottage style in front / tropical jungle style in back) were the hit of a Garden Tour here in our area last year. I'm the one you call in when you need something constructed, destructed, pulled...

    Spectator Shoes

Well, it set me back $5 but I finally now own a nice fitting pair of AE Broadstreets. :) That's a couple bucks more than I usually like to spend on vintage shoes but I had to go ahead and pry them outta' the wallet to get a pair this old and in this good of condition. :D

Amazing, isnt' it, that a store brand product could be of such high quality decades ago? I know they probably had Freeman or someone like that make them, but still. Top-of-the-line big name branded shoes of present manufacture do not come close to how well-crafted some of these 'ordinary' shoes...

Hmmmm.... I'm takin' a wild stab at mid-'70s on those. There was still some high quality production in that era and these look like they are well-made for sure. The graphics inside and the heel design say '70s to me. [huh]

1945 A.A.F. Illus. Stock List Book found at thrift store

I also posted this in the Thrift thread in Display Case. I'd like to get opinions on whether this is something that could be of use to someone as a collectible or reference source today. It has part numbers, and specs like load bearing info, etc. on boodles of small parts for military aircraft...

Show us your Thrift and/or yard sale finds

I might cross-post this one in the WWII area or if there's a vintage aviation thread. I'd like to get opinions on whether this is something that could be of use to someone as a collectible or reference source today. It's interesting, to me, nonetheless: More pix...
