I agree with Lizzie. Dita is a polished picture, not glamourous.
Honestly, I can't think of one famous woman today that would be considered to have actual glamour. Sex appeal, yes, but that's it.
Hats. I bought a few of them and tried wearing them out and about and people looked at me even more strangely, so I stopped. Well, all except for my cloche when it's snowing :)
I believe that you might have a bit of a romanticized version of the Golden Era, but who can blame you? It was better. Maybe not through the rose colored glasses that some see it in, but in general.
