    Bio oil

I used it on a burn scar and it worked wonders! I used it soon after the accident though. I still use it once in a while on dry skin or after small cuts and it works well for me.

Catherine Middleton - Duchess of Cambridge - 40's inspired hat

Her every step is all over the news (or shall I say broadsheet trash).

Don't text during a movie at the Alamo, or else...

A lot of people also have really short attention spans these days, so watching an entire film without other distractions seems a challenge to them. They are right up there on my list of movie theatre annoyances with kids who kick your seat incessantly, people who wear elaborate hats and updos...

Don't text during a movie at the Alamo, or else...

I wonder what would happen if restaurants were as forceful about their rules :) http://ac360.blogs.cnn.com/2011/06/07/the-ridiculist-texting-at-the-movies/ Also: http://cf.drafthouse.com/she_texted_we_kicked_her_out2.html

Catherine Middleton - Duchess of Cambridge - 40's inspired hat

I believe that would only happen if she wore hats daily or as a casual look, which she doesn't. In this case the hat saves the outfit, because the rest is so bland.

FYI, Lena Hoschek just launched her online store! A bit too pricey for me, but the glasses are adorable! http://shop.lenahoschek.com/

Tom, I think you will be a great dad because you think about it carefully! I applaud anyone who is willing and able to be a stay-at-home dad. I was looked after by my grandparents while my parents were at work, and wouldn't have missed it for the world. My grandfather took me everywhere, and...

The fact that physician have been successfully sued in the past seems to be a problem in the system which allows those lawsuits to happen in the first place. For all the women who have sued, there are likely hundreds if not thousands who wouldn't have sued and/or have become unwillingly...

DocMustang, I have read your opinion with interest, and understand that your lifestyle choices have enriched your life. I also recognise that we are animals and have deep seated instincts, which, despite human vanity, are still very much part of our decision-making process. It is also true...

    Vintage and Childfree

I know that not all men are like that, and that many of course miss their children. I have no doubt that my husband would not be one of those bad apples either. I still think that for a myriad of reasons though, the main weight of child rearing falls on women despite societal expectations that...

    Vintage and Childfree

I think either choice is easier for men, because even if they want to have children the majority of child raising is still done by women. If Ihad a job that earned more or as much as my husband's, I wouldn't mind being the breadwinner while he stayed home and dealt with housework, lack of sleep...

    Forbidden items in my home...

Eww, that just reminded me of how much I hate pipe smell. It actually makes me sick. No smoking in our house, either. Hubby actually wanted to forbid smoking at our outdoor wedding, but I convinced him that this was a step too far :)

I am so tired of the selfish-exclamations, what a stupendous idea! As if it was selfless to have children somehow, especially those who can't afford them or look after them properly, but then berate me on not wanting to give up my time/freedom/identity/... It seems to me that it is much more...

That bacon candle is just wrong in so many ways! Yuck.

    Forbidden items in my home...

Thankfully nobody in my house would touch that! I don't eat meat and my husband sticks to chicken and bacon and the occasional sausage. He's actually quite queasy about meat when we get deliveries from the local farm. :)

    Forbidden items in my home...

This is not actually forbidden, in fact I buy and cook it for my husband, but I absolutely hate bacon for smelling up the whole house. My husband loves it, so I humour him, but I detest the smell and swear it creeps into everything. My sewing room is right behind the kitchen, and I fee like I...
