Good point about the "dirty bird" stamp. Also from what I understand that the firearms issued to the Waffen SS were the same weapons that were used to supply the regular German army forces. Due to the SS being considered an elite corps, they frequently received the most recent weapons before...- Kirk H.

No not the infamous SS. The SS on that indicates that it is a Model S. Just another proof mark indicating that it was a commercial weapon and not part of a military contract. AF, it looks like a Star Model S in .380 ACP. They were manufactured between 1941 to 1965. From what I have read about them they were manufactured for the European Police Marcket and were imported by Interarms to the US. Importation of these models to the US stopped around 1991. Thanks. I have managed to pick up a few 12's over the past few years. One of our retired Assistant Range Masters works for one of the gun stores here and he knows how much I like the K frame snubbies. AF, that is funny because I too have that same image of the beared figure. Very rarely have we used that charge here and if it has been done the magistrate usualy rejects it and goes with Assault by Pointing a Gun. I also agree about the charging language in the offence being horribly archaic...- Kirk H.

As far as urban areas goes in the great North State, I would say the agravation part is spot on. The 911 calls come in like crazy when they see someone with a gun, never mind that it is in a holster and the person is just walking down the street. Kirk H.- Kirk H.
