    2/10/08 - Roy Scheider dead at 75

I was suprised how old he was when RKO281 was filmed. He looked much younger than James Cromwell despite being 8 years his senior.

Vintage Homage in Today's Casual Office

I don't do casual anymore. Just ease into it until it becomes common place to see you in appropriate dress. Then they will wonder what is up if/when you do dress casual.

    sniping....?

HarvEX here. You had to buy a license after the trial period, but it was by far the most versatile product I had found, so the $10-20 for the license was a necessary evil.

    What Are You Reading

The trunk murderess, Winnie Ruth Judd is next on the read list, probably starting next week. 2nd book I've read on the subject, both vintage, and local (the house where the murders took place was long ago torn down, and remains as a vacant lot to this day, but the boyfriend's house is still...

    sniping....?

A program which enters a max bid amount at a specified time prior to the end of the auction (I go 4 seconds on mine). The only benefit is that you eliminate paying more than via ebay's proxy bid should you happen to be bidding against of those "only $5 more" type of bidders, and you are willing...

    sniping....?

Sniping is only useful if you are resolute in your absolute worth of an item, as in I wouldn't pay a penny more than $x.00 for that, and mean it.

Perish the thought of history not being written by the victors.

WWII: What was the big deal?

We had POW camps right here in AZ, and some nazis broke out. Little did they know that the rivers they were planning to use in their escape only have water in them once every decade or so. We also interned US citizens of our enemy's descent because we were scared they might be spys. Edit...

    The Hors D'oevres Thread

As I mentioned before though, you may want to take it easy on the sundried tomatos. They pack quite a flavor wallop, and I cut back on them after taste-testing the filling. These are both rediculously easy to make, and require next to no technical food prep skills. Just take it slow and easy...

WWII: What was the big deal?

I cannot believe the ignorance of educators in this day and age. Scraping the bottom of the barrel it seems. As far as overlooked areas, Japanese Invasion and slaughter of China is all but forgotten in most WWII books.
