G.D., yes I suspect we were the only ones with fedoras, ha. I went to Abbots Lagoon, and it was grey, but a relatively high ceiling. At Point Reyes Station it was sunny, of course.
G.D. I was also at Point Reyes this weekend, in a vintage wide brimmed Borso. Yes, ManofKent, it is a little like the Devon coast, though the scales of the beaches are larger, and there is mix of dunes and cliffs. A special place.
Really creative and informative, Alan. There are some other optical techniques (e.g. different types of microscopic imaging such as interference contrast) that might shed additional light (forgive the pun) on the felt structure and color. When I get back to my lab from vacation, I'll play...
Thanks, those are great pix. I've got the Fed IV in the Heritage fawn, and CDs in BG Imperial and Moonstone heritage. I was looking for something a little more tan in color.
How do the taupe fawn and tawny fawn Imperial colors compare to the Heritage fawn color? I think this may have been discussed in the past, but I can't find it.
Thanks.
Wonderful pix, Manfred. I've been to these lakes, and the others to the west - Como, Orta, Lugano, etc. They are so charming - elegant, not too congested. Glücklichen Urlaub.
