Those are vintage V-cleat Florsheim Imperials I sold to Jeff some time ago. Solid shoes, for sure.

Flat Foot'; It's not just the double sole but also how it sticks out around the shoe upper, like the deck of a boat, see?

The thing is, some folks are new to...
Nice mid-century modern table. Walnut, perhaps. All solid wood with birdseye maple insets. Couldn't pass up the deal on this but it doesn't really coordinate with our other furniture, so it's in storage until it finds the right home...
No maker's info, just this: [huh]
This old poker caddy was also in that same dumpster. Also Bakelite. I scrounged up as many of the old pressed cardboard chips as I could but it wasn't enough to fill it. (I added vintage playing cards in packs from my own little stash.)
Then, today, for fifty cents I found an old box of...
Saved this '30s(?) Bakelite alarm clock from a DUMPSTER the other day. I had to solder a cord onto it (I had an old one with Bakelite plug) and it now works perfectly!! I was actively seeking an alarm clock with soul and I'm THRILLED to have this one.
Note the Price Control bit on the back:
lol lol Yeah, for the shirts anyway. I can fit more that way. The jackets and suits are all on proper vintage wooden ones I've salvaged and scrounged over time. :D

Latest thrifts.
These loafers will be for sale as they run a bit 'full'. Fit more like 10s at least. Fantastic condition. Soles professionally, lightly scuffed but not worn. Leather quality on par with Park Avenues.

Thanks, Alan! :)
I have the exact same pair of brown Bostonian gunboats Phineas just picked up. One of my early shoe thrift buys.
Wow, guys, the Barkers and the Church's are wonderful!! :eusa_clap
In the meantime, here's another I scored last winter. Seems also to have some serious age to it. Gotta' be wool. Fairly thick and a bit scratchy if worn without an undershirt. The very faded tag reads, "Specially Hand Made and Fashioned by Elizabeth Potter". The straight cut across the bottom...
Yes, the buttons are stitched with the same thread as used throughout. I think the hand made idea is probably correct. Could be a real one-of-a-kind.
OK, I guess I'll have to do that burn bit. Oh, and I'll check the buttons for imprinting (good idea, that!). Will update...
Thx!

Thanks, I think so too! I ironed a little 'structure' into the collar so it doesn't splay out flat any more. Much better. But I understand the Baron's position; I sure wish it was silk instead of Poly'.
PLEASE DO. Seeing other people's vintage threads is the next best thing to scoring...
A lot of guys were happy and satisfied to be getting fed each day. That is until they got to the trenches. And then got dead. :(
The posters are fantastic, though. Important for their age, art, content and context. Thanks for sharing them with us!
