I recently came across this line of motorcycle jackets out of the UK. They seem to be excellent quality and construction, and the price point is amazing.
They’re using 1.4mm aniline cowhide leather, and come equipped with (removable) Knox...
Nice jacket. Great price!
In my humble opinion, I think it fits you very well as is. The sleeves are fine, the shoulders are sitting pretty much where they should. The length looks good. (I’m not a fan of the skin tight, short sleeves and short length that so many on this forum love) The only...
“After 13 months of rotation I gave them a hand wash in the tub…”
“Orslow 105 2 year wash for me today.”
I’m not sure if I’m misunderstanding something here… are you guys saying that you wear your jeans regularly for 1—2 years without washing them?
I’m just relating my personal experience after 22 years of regular wear.
I don’t have 20 different jackets that are sparingly worn in rotation. This jacket was worn on a daily basis, and despite the leather being uniform thickness, the wrinkled soft leather did not hold up on the sleeve.
Of...
I’ve heard that type of leather jokingly referred to as ‘ball sack leather’.
I would not expect to see mixed panels of leather used so prominently on a $2k jacket. I’d send it back.
I bought a leather jacket 22 years ago, with that type of leather used on the left sleeve. I didn’t really...
Peter, did you ever get the jacket? Let’s see it!
I passed on an opportunity to pick up a minty NOS unworn Schott 602 last winter. I kind of regret it now, but I wasn’t sure about the sizing.
I think I’d have to say, my Schott 141. U. S. sourced, drum dyed, hand cut, heavyweight, full aniline cowhide (naked leather).
It’s supremely comfortable, and in my humble opinion, cool as hell!
I own the Knox Urban Pro too. It’s nice, but I find it’s pretty heavy, bulky and uncomfortable to wear under anything. I had hoped to use it under my Schott 141, but it was very uncomfortable. I felt like the Micheline Man! Knox has an armoured shirt that looks like it might be lighter and more...
I know it’s not easy (near impossible) to get a jacket to cover all the bases, but I’d like to try.
Up to now, when I do multi day rides alone, I bring two jackets, which isn’t ideal, but it works. My real issue is when I ride with my girlfriend, we’re sharing the storage on the bike, and...
