I can say that I didn’t type that good. I didn’t mean to call you a liar, it was meant a genuine discussion. My apologies if it came out rude or ignorant. The H&M jacket fits you good, you got a good one. I had tons, but they all had a very odd shape, including their formal wear and dress...

I don’t understand why you keep bringing up 3D pattern planning. It’s a relatively newer advancement and it has nothing to do with vintage reproductions or the fit of the vintage leather jackets we seek to recreate. 2D pattern planning has been fine for years and while there are some welcoming...

Agreed JP repro brands opt for a slimmer, and longer appearance with strong front drops despite their claim of creating time period accurate garments. Even Real McCoy’s puts me off at times.

Jeez those shearlings jackets look fanfuckingtastic. Makes me feel like that might be the better part of Five Star Leather.

    Leather Police Jackets

Phenomenal. Thank you for sharing I haven’t found too much on how this particular jacket patinas. Definitely what I was looking for. Do you know if CXL FQHH stretches out at all over time?

Thank you. It’s my first brand new higher quality leather jacket. Terry Mitchell’s showcases on his vintage Californians and Aero Jackets convinced me on the style/brand. This thread also pushed me towards Aero as well and it was a perfect choice. I can’t wait to see it broken in.

I agree, but have you ever bought an Aero Leather jacket?

    Leather Police Jackets

Definitely I think I might of offered a little under $75 for it. It’s a vintage version, but an amazing style, if it wasn’t falling apart everywhere, I would wear it more often. I have considered buying a new version from their site from how good this one is, but ultimately went with Aero...

    Leather Police Jackets

Welp went down a rabbit hole here. To say the least some of the best and most complimented jackets I own. Aero Leather C.H.I.P.S: Taylor Leatherwear CHP: Extremely pebbled soft leather, lining is really thin nylon, but the collar is great. Taylor’s Leatherwear Indianapolis: My personal...

    Five Star Leather Jackets

I mean… what do they feel like? Fluid underneath? Hard? Does it feel like air/puffy? I think that would answer the question for sure. Because I mean worst case scenario it puffy as if air is trapped underneath the pigmented coat. I think that’s really what most of us are worried about.

    Five Star Leather Jackets

Well I think people who buy Five Star in the first place are looking for a “new” jacket, so I don’t think buying from the used market wouldn’t be the best answer for some. But I agree 2nd hand Aero’s are the best.

    Five Star Leather Jackets

I don’t think you should write it off completely given that their leather variety is inconsistent enough to make this a problem with just their whiskey hide. Most people have washed and even soaked their Five Star Leather jacket in rain completely, but I think depending on what Shawn’s reaction...

    Five Star Leather Jackets

Once the finish separates from the leather surface it’s going to peel off. It’s like paint in an old bathroom. You should for-sure get a full refund or get it remade in a different leather.

Sorry to change the subject so much. I appreciate all the great recommendations for wool jackets. But does anybody have any idea what the deal is with Avileather? It looks practically the same just more streamlined website, genuine models with little to no customization options. Almost like a...

    Five Star Leather Jackets

I was originally considering Sugar Cane, but unfortunately I’m not too excited about the sizing, price and availability. I’m definitely keeping an eye on it still. Those golden bear and schott wool jackets look great though, but nothing as intriguing as those old school Sportclad and Lee Wool...

    Five Star Leather Jackets

Yeah I think you misunderstood me a little bit I meant both the materials and pattern on the pretty department. Most people don’t really care or even know what a pattern is. A lot of people just wear sweat gear and throw on a H&M faux leather jacket. I think anybody who wants to wear a real...

    Five Star Leather Jackets

I mean, I’m happy with my Taylor’s Police ($305) Leather jacket. It fits good, doesn’t restrict me, built like a tank and in reality that’s all I want. I actually sold my Golden Bear, Real McCoy’s, gave away my Aero Leather and I’m currently selling my Buzz Rickson’s A2. I saw no point in...

Ton Do you know anybody that makes good wool sport’s coats under $500 or am I just having a pipe dream I mean there has to be someone better out there right?
