    "Defiance" in December

I just saw this last night. It's a great movie. It was more violent and intense than I anticipated, but it was really good. It's difficult to call the film "good" when the subject matter is so sad. I definitely recommend it!

Let's See Your Vintage Inspired Office!

I'm still trying to make my office more vintage. I've been looking for some desk lamps. Can someone tell me what kind of lamp this is? http://www.garbes.com/house_troy/2007/P14-202-AB.JPG I found one that has two bulbs on top and a wider base on the bottom. Is there a specific name for this...

    Valkyrie

My wife and I saw this a few days ago. It was a good film--worth seeing. It's not amazing. Tom Cruise is very overrated (but most people understand this going into the film). I'd give it 4/5 stars. It's not amazing, but it's very good. The dialogue could be much punchier and more exciting, and...

    The Money Clip

I've been using one for years. It's classy, and slim, just what I need. I keep a few cards stacked between my money. Wallets are too bulky, and look silly bulging in pants or jackets. A money clip has always worked well for me. I use a silver one with stripped lines on the front. The clip...

    Lavish Film

I was thinking about how the color in modern period pieces really lets you see all the details about the vintage lifestyle: clothes, colors, object normally obscured by a black and white film--details you would normally miss. Some films offer these gems better than others. What film has the a...

    Lust, Caution

It was a pretty good film. Of course, the costumes and set really stole the show. The plot was good enough. The male and female leads were wonderful, and the ending was surprising and thrilling! A good one.

    Calling all Rustics!

Forgotten Man, the pictures you posted are outstanding. Where can we see more. Old photos provide the best inspiration for me. Sometimes he can be difficult to replicate something you don't see daily, but the more you see it, the more attainable it becomes. Keep up the inspiration!
