Hello-
What color is your jacket? If it's black, you can very gently scrape/sand off the paint spots, and then touch up any color loss with black shoe polish.
I used this method to touch up a brand new FQHH Cossack that I scraped up in a fall.

It's time to buy another Aero. I was planning on buying a Half Belt in brown FQHH, but then I saw the Rocker. I know that the Cafe style jackets run smaller than the Highwayman/Half Belt, but I don't know if that's just in the waist, or the chest and arms as well. Comments anyone...
I have this listed on eBay (270285142653), but I'm willing to listen to offers (I'm itching to buy another Aero.) ;)
I’m selling an Aero Cheyenne I purchased a few years ago. I’ve only worn it 6 times over the past three years, so I’m selling it to fund another Aero purchase.
Fit: The...
Hello-
I would recommend installing a bi-swing back. The Cossack cuffs are much narrower than the ones on most Aero jackets, so if you reach forward (to drive a car, or wash your hands), the sleeves can't slide up your arms. With a bi-swing back, reaching will be much easier. I elected not...

I'm very interested in purchasing a Route 66, but I have a few questions.
First, I'm concerned that the sleeve strap will get caught on door knobs and the like. Have you had any problems with this?
Second, I've read (on the Aero site) that the R'66 is slimmer than the standard...
Hello-
All three jackets fit the same through the chest/shoulders/arms. The highwayman has adjusters at the bottom of the jacket, so it has a boxier silhouette. The halfbelt/californian, on the other hand, has adjusters at the waist. If you have a 'V' shaped torso, jackets with a halfbelt...

Hello-
Well, it would depend on what impression you want to convey. If you want a traditional American gunboat shoe, look at the Leeds in shell cordovan. If you want something more formal, I'd recommend the Niles. If you want something stylish, check out the Westgate. If you want...
Hello-
I purchased an Aero Highway this season. Yes, the hides are think and heavy, and yes they start off with a semi gloss sheen. Over time the sheen with dull, and the hide will soften, but it will always be heavy.
I've owned a couple of FQHH jackets. I loved them both, but the one...

Check out the brown mid-weight FQHH Mark had last year. I don't when if/when he'll get another shipment, but IMO, it would be worth waiting for.

Hello-
I've owned both a Cossack and a Bootlegger. Between the two, I prefer the Bootlegger. I like the double-breasted look of the bootlegger, as well as the wider sleeve opening (if you're a suburbanite who spends a lot of time in a car, the wider openings allow you to reach more easily.)...
Hello-
I would like to add a couple of things.
First, I would highly recommend having a bi-swing back installed. They add ~$40 to the jacket, but they add a lot of comfort, especially if you need to do any reaching.
Second, when I was forty pounds lighter, I noticed that my FQHH...
Hello-
If you're installing real linoleum, there are a few things you should know.
First, most installers have very little experience with it. The most experienced people will be commercial installers, but they usually charge more than residential installers.
Second, installers...
Hello-
Keep in mind that the alpaca can be a bit itchy. I personally prefer a drill lining if you're concerned about durability, or the tartan lining for appearance/comfort.

I'd love to see pics of your Cordovan Barnstormer. I almost bought a Cordovan Highwayman this season, but...

I've always found it sad that so many American's are reluctant to pay for quality. I was talking to a vendor of vintage VW parts. They carried a Brazilian window latch for $7 and a German made one for $15. Even to the untrained eye, the German one was a much better made part. Given...

I just ordered an Aero last week and now I'm already thinking about the next purchase. I think I need help.
I have an Aero Cheyenne I purchased on eBay a few years ago and I'm thinking of selling it and buying and Aero Barnstormer that actually fits. I like a trim fit, but I also...

I know this is tough, but together we can get through it :)
First, I know we're talking about A-2's here, but just for a moment think of it as some generic jacket.
Second, forget about fitting middle-aged frames into a jacket cut for a mal-nourished teenagers. We just talking...

I'm wondering which repro A-2 has the most complimentary cut. I've read that the ELC Star has a suit like cut, but that's about it. Most A-2 posts refer to the character of the leather, or the shape of the pockets, but very few discuss how one is cut in comparison to another...
