Asking for Info/Advice on Near-Vintage(?) Ladies Hats, pt. 2: All Feathers

My wife's friend has unearthed two of her grandmother's hats while doing a post-retirement purge. She knows little else about them, except that Grandma probably bought them in NYC--certainly in the NJ/NYC area. They'll go up for sale, and I told the friend I'd help offer them up here if they're...

    Post New Hats Here!

Received my Classic Fedora from Brent Black yesterday. I've been wearing it in the house today, due to the rain outside (oh, yeah--and the whole "work" part of WFH).

Hats and Drinks - A Match Made in Heaven

With temps in the low 90s and humidity higher yet, it's a good day to unwind with a dry Hendricks martini and a Panama.

Hats and Drinks - A Match Made in Heaven

That Scotch and the soup both look great. I'd like to see more of the hat, too! Full disclosure, I'm in process of designing a Panama now, and in search of ideas.

    Let's see your mechanical watches

It's described as "analogue quartz." So it's not a mechanical watch, & will require a battery, right? It might keep fine time, I don't know, but if you want a mechanical watch I'd say keep looking.

    Simply about leathers

I had a hard time reading beyond the opening sentence. This author's bias is off-putting.

    Let's see your mechanical watches

Take a look at Mk II. http://www.mkiiwatches.com Boutique watchmaker, doing homages to classics, typically with a military heritage; but updated for a somewhat modern touch as well. Be aware, though, that buying new means a long wait.

Name The Last Time There Was So Much Naked

Thank you, PADDY. And to you, too, Ms. KAT. There's lots to be learned & lots of value being shared here in the Lounge. It's good to see (what I feel are more) understanding views state their opinions here, in this thread. Cheers! [Edit: I apologize for having just recognized the dates on...

Feet Up! The Work Boot Thread

I've got the IR, and believe they're a US 10.5. I'll have to check when I get home this evening. I wear either 10.5 or 11 (US), myself, typically in a D width. I've a slightly flat foot, as well. The IRs were just a tad tight at first and have broken in to be a terrific fit, width-wise...

Natty Custom Made Shirts For Only $29.99

I received my order of five Natty custom shirts yesterday, and have to say I am very impressed. An excellent fit is what I wanted, and what I got. The materials and craftsmanship, too, are top notch. The customer service I received when placing my order, both on-line via chat and also through...

    Good strong everyday bag?

I can vouch for Saddleback. I've had their Thin Briefcase for going on 3 years now. It's seen daily use, in commutes, business trips (stuffed into overheads & under seats), and on vacations; carries my laptop, note pads, pens, wires, cables, packages, etc.; and hardly shows the wear. I've...
