Our closest mall closed a year or so ago after slowly bleeding to death. There are still 2 stores that were anchors hanging on by a thread but it won't be long for them either.
I'm not particularly sad at this development since they suffered the same fate as they imposed years ago on all of the...
I watched several people fight over Wonder Bread display pieces at an auction. One of the things they sold was something wrapped in that paper to look like a loaf of bread.
Does anybody here have the Warner Archive streaming channel? I had it a few years ago and was greatly disappointed in what it offered. I tried again after they claimed to have overhauled it and was equally disappointed the second time.
I keep hoping that they will figure it out, but I won't hold...
Thanks for that. My wife's great aunt was an Airstream dealer. I'm not sure when she took them on, but I know from after the war into the 1970s she sold them. They tied their personal trailer behind the Caddy and traveled all over the country.
I started season 1 of The Ranch and it didn't do much for me. Maybe I needed to give it a little more time, but it doesn't sound like there'd be much reward in that idea.
I recently had a discussion with a younger fellow who thought he should purchase a 3/4 ton diesel pickup since he and his wife had purchased a relatively small camper. He struggled to believe that people had towed such things behind the family sedan and that his current 1/2 ton pickup was more...
I was not aware of the renaissance of the Polaroid camera until the soon to be wife of one of our boys showed me hers. There are 2 versions. One that takes pictures like the last series of Polaroids that spit them out the front and a digital version that takes oversized photo booth pictures. I...
I pulled a couple of my own. One with the string and doorknob, one with a pair of ignition pliers. I talked my sister into the doorknob remedy, but she chickened out and ran after the door so no joy for her on removing the annoying floppy Chiclet.
We are working on season 2 of "The Crown".
I would agree with the above. Plus the worst JFK in memory. It's a tough character to pull off, but this is obviously overall a high budget show.
As a child I used to ride a pony that belonged to a neighbor. Given the general disposition of ponies and given Jack's advancing age he was perfectly happy to stand quietly rather than walk me around the barnyard. There was a bowl on a stick in the barn that you put a handful of oats in before...
I don't have any idea if this is universal, but the earlier sinks I have seen mostly have back mounted faucets. That may be a regional thing though. New ideas are slower to make it out into the hinterlands, otherwise known as around here.
There was a HoJo built near here in the '70's. It was a pretty big motel with the cafe and ice cream in the front. Unfortunately it was a terrible location downtown far from the interstate and it didn't last long. It has been various flea bags since and I'm not sure it is even operating now.
I am in a public pension system that is considered one of the best in the country. It is currently 95% funded and they are working toward 100%. The state of Illinois (look up thieving pirates for a reference point)has been trying to figure out a way to steal the money from it for years in spite...
1981 or 82. -34 temperature, -80 wind chill. I'd heard of spitting and watching it freeze in the air but had never seen it. When it hit the ground, it spun like a top. Once was enough.
One of my younger sister's high school classmates does that professionally. It is apparently making a comeback. They've been touring for quite a while now He started out doing movie makeup and worked into this deal from there somehow.
