In terms of warmth I would say that the answer to your question depends on what type of interior lining the jacket has. If it's a wool lining or Alpaca lining that Aero uses then it'll be warmer than a jacket that has a thinner lining like a satin or drill cloth lining. Also if your jacket has...
Hi Ace!
My worksite blocks the site where you hosted the pics you posted here so I can't see them... will check it out later when I get home. :)
I like the idea of hidden pockets though. :)
Guten Tag Oliver!
Will your cafe racer jacket have zippered handwarmer pockets or non-zippered? I can't wait to see your new jacket... definitely post pics and shoot me a PM when you've posted it so i don't miss seeing your post. :)
Hi Coffee!
Great suggestion about the bi-swing back. I thought this jacket comes standard with the bi-swing back... am I correct?
I thought about zippered handwarmer pockets but I wasn't sure if the zipper teeth would scratch my skin when unzipped and I put my hands in the pockets...
Hi Windward!
Yes sir... just got the leather samples a couple of days back. Aged tan steerhide looks AMAZING in person. I also got a sample of their India Water Buffalo hide and a new hide they recently obtained from south africa... I'll post up some pics later on this evening.
Good lining...
Hey Cooperson!
Thanks for your post. I agree with the general consensus here that no pockets whatsoever does make the front of the jacket bare.
Actually, I'm following your exact thought process and ordered some leather samples last week from Amanda. They arrived a couple of days ago so...
Hi Edward,
Thank you so much for your post... good advice too. As Griff mentioned, the aged tan steerhide is the only steerhide that isn't heavy compared to the other steerhides. The aged tan steerhide is closer to weight of the midweight horsehide, so it will be definitely lighter but...
Gents,
I didn't think I'd ever buy more than one Aero, but a few things have influenced and inspired me to now do this:
1) I recently tore my ACL ligament in my knee (not sure how this happened since I had no direct trauma to my knee, but the area around my knee is swollen and full of...
Hey Adam... I didn't realize you're in Maryland, bro. I'm in Gaithersburg myself. Whereabouts are you in Maryland?
Would be cool to meet up with you sometime and see your beautiful jacket in person... not sure if you've seen my Aero jacket type in person (NYPD).
Enjoy the jacket in good...
I agree 100% with Steve... my BMW sedan was ordered by me without a sunroof back in 2000... makes it a whole lot easier in terms of headroom especially when on the track and you have to wear a helmet.
My wife and I have to get a new car this week since her previous car (Hyundai Tucson SUV)...
Hi Andy,
I'm not sure what Canadian brand you're thinking of but I know my older brother likes the down vests made by Patagonia (not sure what country this company is from but I hear it's a reputable brand).
Good luck, bro. Do let us know if you wind up remembering the Canadian brand you...
That's a great idea, Griff. I would definitely prefer deeper pockets to shallower pockets to avoid stuff falling out of my jacket, especially when driving and all.
Here is my contribution to this thread... it's a cafe racer style jacket that was obtained from a Nordstroms Outlet place a few years ago. Brand name is "Blend" and is a silver canvas/fabric jacket with black leather accents on the collar, arms, pockets, and down the main zipper area.
