Happy to oblige javadave. This is a Mallory 15. Probably late 40's as it has the 1817 date and a cloth size tag. Dark brown with the Mallory " Duplex edge". Brim is 2 7/8ths. -

Thanks Eric, I was fortunate to get the Shore Club from Miami Bruno. Turf Club was an EBay find about a month ago. It's a zephyr light and unlined. I like the Bob Hope and Bing Crosby adverts. -

sizing ?
In my experience the width of the brim doesn't have anything to do with the sizing . Sounds to me like the Stetsonian you got was stretched a bit by the previous owner. If most 7 1/4 hats fit you well , that would be the size to get. If you can get the seller to measure the hat opening for you... -
