Well this was news to me. I've known greatly for most of my life of the reams of appalling atrocities meted out to the millions of Chinese and all our poor POWs (try reading The Last Highlander - now there's a book!) and all those poor unfortunates unlucky enough to be caught up in their swathe... -

Yes, I loved the book too (that and Goshawk Squadron - Peter Robinson's tale of a RFC squadron in WW1). I should give Piece of Cake another go. Not seen it since the 90s … I always thought his dialogue was brilliant. -

I see it's of the pre-broken grain hide like mine (mine's from 2006 or so, and I got it second-hand from eBay in virtually unworn condition) and I love the original "Golden Book" appearance of our jackets.
