Did she survive? The Japanese did not treat nurses well. Not that they treated anyone well, but barbarism towards non combatant medical staff is hard to understand. -

I have since moved and can't offer pics, but had a nice experience in my last house. My wife and I were working in the front yard of our house when some passers by stopped to talk. Turns out their grandparents built the house in '28. We took them through the house. Not much had changed...- Talbot

Reminds me of a Sylvester and Tweety cartoon from when I was a child. Never liked that bird. I seem to recall seeing a documentary on the adoption of Christmas trees into modern tradition. There were pictures of trees suspended from the ceiling. Looked interesting. You'd need high ceilings...- Talbot

Agreed, the pendulum has swung the other way. I don't see any (many) US adverts, but any product where a woman is percieved as making the purchase decision will likely portray a man as foolish at best. On the other hand, there are the adverts for 'mens' products that are seeking humor...- Talbot
