Can someone help me to date this vintage N3B parka?

Looking at the DSA number, should be from 1974. And it's also corresponding with the firsts 13 digits NSN.

White name tapes on nylon flight jackets

Ooooh, it's actually one of the current productions Alpha L2... AF Blue like an L-2, orange lining and no zipper box flap like a late L-2B. Never found an original one with sleeves long enough for me...

White name tapes on nylon flight jackets

Thanks Atticus, you're an information mine!! It may not be period correct, but I'm thinking about sewing one on my Alpha L2B in AF Blue, along with the 334th FIS patch. And as for Trey Moore, I dealt a lot with him in the past for Vietnam reenactment, the guy's a pleasure to deal with, he's...

White name tapes on nylon flight jackets

Hello folks, Since there's a couple real expert of flight jackets here, maybe some of you could help. I've seen pictures of repros L2 jackets from Buzz Rickson with white name tapes that look like simple stencils printed on white cotton. I've also seen this in a comic book, on some USN orange...

    MA-1 Flight jacket

That's great! Sleeve length was really lacking before. Hopefully, I bought my L2 from a nice vendor on eBay who took time to measure the sleeve from an xl and an xxl one.

    WW2 inspired PT shirts/sweaters

Hello folks, I've been searching a lot lately for WW2 inspired simple design t-shirts/sweatshirts. It all started with this life magazine cover: Simple design, classic vintage fit, and with some historical background. While looking if anyone has ever done a repro of this, I found the...

Calling All Nylon Junkies New Alpha L2B Sizing

Received my Alpha L2B a week ago, and I'm pretty pleased with it. Sure, it's not a Buzz Rickson, but for the price, it'll be a perfect beater. I'm 6'4" and 195lbs, and the XL fits me perfectly. It's a tad roomy in the body, but nothing shocking, and at least the sleeves are a perfect length! I...

    QMI Products

Karhu, just got an answer from my friend. His chambray shirt is indeed one from QMI. He says quality is really good and he's very satisfied with it. Sizing is slim fit, so you may want to pick one size bigger.

    QMI Products

I have a couple friends doing reenacting, and from what I gathered, QMI apparels are really nice. Probably not as nice as Buzz Rickson, ELC and so on, but pretty bang on for the bucks. One of them is doing a Navy impression, with chambray shirt, jeans trousers, sailor white cap... I'll ask him...
