Here's my Turf Club. Incredible color. It's a brown with a violet shade and a greenish brown ribbon. No wind trolley and no liner. It's a Zephyr weight and extremely light.
Pretty sure I may have posted this one elsewhere , but thought I should add it to this thread.
Thanks Moon! I've had this one for a few months. Afraid to wear it 'cause the stitching on the unreeded sweat is fragile. I need to go on a vintage hat purchasing hiatus too! I don't have the will power.... haha
Spent a bit more than i would have liked to get this one....haha.... but it's brown! and I needed a brown OR! Everyone should have a brown OR.
Early 1950's. Has the O.P.S. label still attached and stars in the Stetson logo.
These pictures bring back fond memories for me. Before the turn of the last century I attended the School of the Art Institute. My studio space was under the museum. I walked past that Hopper painting several times a day! Thanks for sharing the pictures , bowlerman!
Yes ! Read about it here on FL. It works great doesn't it. I need to work on it a little more to make it disappear completely but just filling the hole made a huge difference.
thanks Moon. I agree with you. Most of the nibbles on this hat are just that, nibbles. This one also had a hole all the way through the brim. It was fun patching it. Never tried a felt repair before.
eI have a few Playboy's. This one is the first I have owned with a liner. It was cheap due to a little mothing. A real shame because the hat has the appearance of one that has had very little wear. I hate moths!
Oh, and it's a Vita -Felt!
