    The Fragmentation Of History

I have struggled with this same question for some time. I don't have the answer. All of the reasons that I have tried to make work are only fragments themselves. We as a society seem to be constantly in need of a fix of outrage and offense, but at the same time we don't want to put in the...

So trivial, yet it really ticks you off.

Bingo. If you're short of cash either don't go or choose a place that doesn't require more than paying the counter person for your burger, taco or chicken. Same with those who have the means but simply don't feel any obligation to tip. I've had this discussion with quite a number of people who...

Tourist cabins, auto and motor courts

Your elders traded the streetcar and Big Boys for a Pizza Hut. Bad trade.

So trivial, yet it really ticks you off.

I try very hard to be civil in public at all times but occasionally I find it difficult to restrain myself. Complaining about soup and bread at what amounts to a slightly above fast food restaurant should allow anyone within earshot to ask "WTF is wrong with you?" People behave badly because it...

I'd buy a ticket just to see the expressions of your genteel clientele when you spring that on them.

What Was The Last Radio Program You Heard?

I've done a bit of looking online for a source where I might hear Morris give some insurance advice. No luck thus far.

    Old gas stations

I'd be kind of bent out of shape about that view. Maybe the station belongs to the homeowner? That's gotta be a $30,000+ house. Hard to believe that someone of the means to afford that place wouldn't own the outlot. Stranger things have happened though.

    Vintage roadside

Great picture. While it was before my time I have a soft spot for the Saturday Evening Post. Our local pharmacist, long since departed, told me that my grandfather would come in every Saturday evening, buy his copy of the post and a small package of black licorice and head home to read and...

What was the last TV show you watched?

Land Girls. We started watching when it was first on TV but had drifted on to other things. We started in again last weekend and are enjoying it very much. It may not be deep and historically perfect, but it's better than most television.
