it is a beautiful suit, there were a few bidders pushing it over 500 bucks. I was one of them, drunk as a skunk, but happy 2 people outbid me in the last moments. I've bought from the seller before and they're quite decent folks! :)

HAHAHA That would be great! But alas, last I heard the Met wasn't able to afford the insurance for the Tut exhibit after 9/11! But that would be an awesome idea, especially considering how Egypt-crazy the world went in the 20's!

I would love to see more pictures of the complete 3 piece Old Town suits... I guess I'm thrown by them because they are sold as separates and not made to measure. But if they work... they work! It seems to me that they might be dead on and they have heavy weight material offered...

Do you think he had a distinct look though? I think he mainly exemplifies the norm (if not higher end norm) for the time while highlighting the range of acrobatic movement he was able to maintain in a relatively tight fighting suit. When ye olde bruised wallet can manage it, I'd love to have...

    "Barton Fink" the later years.

I love this film but have kinda stayed away from it since getting really into Wallace Beery... the Champ is not just another film?! Beery is not just some dumb actor! Barton Fink is supposed to be somewhat King Vidor making boiled down, human pictures (ala the Crowd!) Anyway, Barton Fink is...

    Post New Hats Here!

Huh! That's an interesting feature I never noticed before, the bowtie on the back of the sweatband was functional as a cincher to make for a tighter fit. Does this work well? How old a detail is this by hatmakers? Anyone know when it become strictly for decoration?
