Thanks Alan. The liner has a couple tears now. Someone added a spacer or two to bring it down to about a 7 1/4 I think. I may have to add another to get it to fit. Nice hat , it just needs to have a little TLC to make up for the last 3yrs it has been out of your care. -

Interesting info , Bob. Thank you. The hat has an early 1930's re-order tag. and the 1939 Asepto logo ...hmmmm ... maybe the sweat was replaced at some point. -

Alan, that liner is identical to mine but in better shape. Looks like the same "Asepto" logo on the sweat as well. Only the re-order tag is still attached under the sweat on mine. Looks to be the early 1930's tag if I the info I have read is correct. Here is a pic. -

Western, anyone?
Just got this Stetson. I don't have many westerns so I don't know that much about them. This one has a 3.5" brim and a 1" ribbon. Has a few moth nibbles and needs a good cleaning but other than that is in fine shape. -

Stetson slant
I was hoping it still had the shadow of the factory slant and could be returned to its original shape. If indeed the "slant" was put in from the factory that is. -

I applaud you for making the attempt to bring Tim back to earth. I think I know the hat you are talking about..... he will never sell it at the price he is asking. Unfortunately, this guy says he is using Tim's prices as a guide for setting his own ridiculous prices.
