If I may, I would suggest, as a few others here have already Nick, that you invest in an extra-special belt or boots and a cap (Ebbetts Field or similar) or hat for yourself - as you have the jacket aspect covered - and covered nicely.
I'd put this down to needs and wants - and you don't need...
I have an Aero RAF sweater and perhaps you made it for me? I can certainly attest to its quality and it is still going strong many years later and I'm still delighted with it.
I never said it would take 15 hours to knit a sweater. I merely gave an example of time relating to relative costs and...
If I respectfully may, what I suspect Sloan was meaning was that a stunning jacket like yours (which is simply perfect in terms of both quality and fit) unintentionally goes on to highlight any shortfalls in the rest of any ensemble or wardrobe (such as the lack of a belt against that jacket...
Interesting. What would happen if one did? I ask as I use conditioners on my various sheepskin leather jackets and have done on my A2s in the past with no ill effects - but I find that my Aero ANJ-3 is different in that it just doesn't seem to need any these days as it's supple and, well...
Score! Nice one, galopede.
As someone who is a bit green where civilian jackets are concerned and the leathers too, with this (suspected) oil-pull hide, would he use conditioner on it?
I have no idea except that it's a beauty! It's amazeballs!
I mean, there were so many thousands of A2s of many makers and the majority were so similar that they had a somewhat generic look - so, few stand out from the pack for me - but this is one. It must be those red Aero knits …!
Hmm. "DOES NOT COMPUTE" came to my mind at your self-assessment there. I'm afraid that I can't agree with you at all, Sir!
Even though I haven't always liked or agreed with every comment you've ever made, Butte, I do like and respect the majority enough to know that I hold you in high regard...
I'm not into civilian designs as a rule, but I must say that I like yours, Samo!
It's like a russet G-1 with the goatskin and mouton collar but with the motorcycle look - it's a great hybrid and I think even my girlfriend would like that on me! It looks beautiful both on and off you. It's a...
I got the email too - and the G-1 is simply superb. I'm glad they left the back panel plain as it would make the jacket look cluttered with patches IMO so, as it is, I think they nailed it. It looks fantastic to me.
And the new B-15 in NOS material … wow! I love it!! It just oozes quality.
And...
Hi Tom,
I've just noticed your comment here (sorry that it only took me 5 months to have a look-in on this thread again and notice! LOL!) and thanks for your kind words and for the photos too, especially for sharing the one of your great-uncle in his Spitfire! A very special and great photo -...
Here is the article I was talking about - from United's in-flight magazine.

Stu at Lost Worlds will have a frickin' thrombo if he reads this! I mean, we all know how we feels about flip flops on men. What until he sees things are...
I'm not sure what you think there's not to like …? You wouldn't want it bigger/tighter/longer/shorter in any way as far as I can see. The fit looks great!
You can wear it to your local bar and look good in it as you have a drink and worry about something else - 'cos you've no worries with that...
