Alright! There are multiple things going on that night, including the Mid Summer Night's Swing. Any one else in to meet up prior to that somewhere? I'd love to hit Ginger Man or Campbell's Apartment. Anyone else?!
Wait one cotton pickin moment! You're in NYC!? How's about a FL meet up this thursday?! We could see the suit in person and I am so insanely stir crazy working constantly that I would love to come up for air socially!
Folks!? Anyone!?
Sure! As far as we know, they are all really just robots that were turned off and abandoned several generations ago. Somehow they were able to activate themselves and are now attempting to recreate what their grand creators wore at the time of their inception!!!
I know the guy that runs e-workers said that before he cut his shirt sleeves shorter for a Japanese consumer, now that more people from outside of Japan are interested, he is offering his stuff larger/longer.
The way I envision it (and I could be missing the boat) I don't think the work wear craze there is necessarily that they are attempting to look like the Americans in WW2 that fought their relatives, but rather mainly turn of the century through to the forties as pretty much just a fashion trend...
I dig their pin check trousers.
But wait! You guys say inspired - inspired to...... is there a NY-area company taking shape? Is golden era work wear going to be outsourced out of Japan and getting American's working again by starting up the production line here at home!? Please say yes!
My #1 issue would be what the stuff fits like. Considering their clothes are made for a Japanese audience, it's a ton of money to fork over to hope that you wouldn't look like Frankenstein's Monster. (short arms, etc not bolts in the neck ;) )
I think it's safe to say there is no end in sight of just how far the Japanese will go..!
Check out as much of this site as you can, TONS of great stuff mixed in with some interesting experiments too...

...I have too many! I can't believe I'm saying that! hahaha
Truly, I just moved about a month ago and am trying to streamline my vintage suit collection and not become the pack rat that I am genetically programmed to be. Also, I am in the process of buying furniture in my own place...
Oh, I see. I could have should have would have done it that way but you never know with these things. Plus, I recently had a strange buy it now experience that I'd prefer to leave things up to a free market in the future . And! I'd opt to lose money than give more to ebay for their charges...
