strike that..i now see how it works, basically there is no instant insertion, you first have to upload an image into an "album" that is kept in your account I presume, which will then allow you to inser images from..
Not sure why this long process instead of the usual "instant insertion...
Does anyone know if you can INSERT a photo as opposed to posting a link of the photo?..is there another option other than having your image appear as a link that someone has to then click to view image? Yes ive tried the "insert" button but it does everything BUT take me to my drive to select an...
Looking good - indeed I would've missed the box pleat lines..were you not a fan of the classic "fan pleating" around half belt ? English or HK tailor ?
At any rate, you "own" this suit. Well done!

PS nice accessory.
GHT - Is that repro suit still hanging in your closet ? Would love to see how it looks and what type of modern-day linen was used.
re: the waiting game, at this rate we might all have to wait years before we lay claim to one...still more surprising to me is that there are so many size 36's...
i'll second that..these suits are getting seriously hard to find (separates less hard ofcourse), one suit comes up for auction about every 6 months or so nowadays..as FF mentioned, especially if its immaculate. Ironic thing is, I slung atleast a half dozen of these PB suits myself, back when the...
yea i did tail that 40's PB linen on ebay..sadly i got buried in an avalanche of other desperate bidders. Still, given a choice i would shoot for a 30's rendition, although given the finite nature of vintage i am now having to look at the more plain-er 40's version..lets hope i wont have to...
Nice to see the "tightly knit" community still going strong here..
Ok here's my dilemma. Been searching high and low but no one's been slingin a 30's PB pleatback linen suit on ebay/etsy for quite a stretch so I thought I'd check here again to see if anyone's entertaining the idea of selling...
ive posted before about this but didn't realize there was a thread dedicated to palm beach linen suit..just thought I'd let all of you know here - ive been searching for PB linen suit for a while, if anyone's outgrown there size 36 (or smaller) suit, by all means drop me a line. I'm looking for...
that one closed at $625 actually..I don't think he has anymore..it was a great suit though, but I was not too big on the gathered pleating on the back of the jacket, plus the pants were pleated too. I know its hard to get all your requirements in, I guess I'd have to lower my requirements..are...
Hi folks...the finite nature of vintage has forced me to look outside the ebay/etsy box..in my quest to snag a 30's belt-back Palm Beach Linen suit in Sz 36 or smaller (34 maybe?). Can anyone suggest how else I could possibly broaden the hunt ?
till soon

Hi guys- I'd like to get your collective thoughts in trying to help me date a pair of old (really old) overalls. I am not certain where the appropriate place to post my photos/inquiry is but if someone can give me the go ahead, I will upload the photo's here. If there is a more appropriate...
PS - just a laymans observation but I think part of the reason why the above plastic is thick yet easily bendable, is because of the micro-hallowed-out side (for lack of a better word - or textured side), which looks like it helps in the bending process because when you try to reverse bend it...
"hats off" to those fast responses- yes I too have had the name KYDEX tossed at me a few times, the trouble all along has been that no one ( not even the big online plastics companies (like e-plastics and others ) have any clue where I could find it...the other day I stumbled upon a plastics...
big high five to all those who responded to my earlier postings. I'm new to hat making and struggling to assemble all the parts I need. This has been the thorniest issue..finding the right type of HDPE plastic to use in visors. Many suggestions from cutting boards to plastics used at the base of...
thanks guys- I actually want to make new newsboy's..can anyone suggest a supplier for this type of vegetable tanned leather ? Obviously leather wont be cheap wherever you look but I was hoping for a recommended supplier. Also, in the market for a singer cylinder head to do the zig zag stitches...
Heyhey- Thanks for creating a hat corner guys..
Need your collective advice about making one's own leather sweatbands. Does anyone know where to purchase the raw leather hide ? If presented with a choice, what thickness leather should I opt for. I want to use the same thickness found in Fedora...
Hi guys- Can someone please school me on a couple Q.'s I had.
1) I was looking to buy a straw fedora hat- seller states its 50's but has the banded edge (wrapped in fabric along the edges) and has a cloth sweatband. Its a Daltons hat and seller states it was from her parents. Says "Milan straw"...
