Is this A-2 jacket from Lost worlds?

You see, that's amazing. I'd never pick up on a detail like that! Good one.

Is this A-2 jacket from Lost worlds?

Now its pedigree is established, I'd say it looks like a keeper! And if it was me, just as a suggestion, I'd cover that decal with a nice leather AAF patch and put a corresponding one on the opposite sleeve too to pair them up. But that's just me.

There you go, you see? Result! (and you managed the move. Well done). Good for you. It's a keeper.

Is this A-2 jacket from Lost worlds?

Welcome to the Lounge, Boyington! I'd say it'd be a good guess to suspect this is a Lost Worlds A2 (and it's very nice), but the better way to know would be to ask one of the Bar Tenders to have this thread moved over to the Outerwear section. There are folks there who are A2 specialists and...

Buzz Rickson’s USAAF Superior Togs B-10 Flying Jacket

... and there's that great Sage Green of the B-15D jacket. Superb. Great vintage photo with the A2 and the L2-A as well in one frame! Thanks!

Buzz Rickson’s USAAF Superior Togs B-10 Flying Jacket

Wow! You see, now THAT was precisely the sort of answer I was wanting someone to tell me all week long as I've been poring over these jackets! And I was hoping that you could possibly steer me in and around the jackets as I know you know your kung-fu with vintage USAAF/USAF jackets - and boy...

Buzz Rickson’s USAAF Superior Togs B-10 Flying Jacket

... and as I'm on vacation and have the time to trawl TFL for more info, I have just found your links which helps with the B-15s as you also posted great photos of fit pics of the Buzz B-10, Superior Togs B-10 plus side-by-side views of the B-15s I'm interested in to compare the colours! Fit...

Buzz Rickson’s USAAF Superior Togs B-10 Flying Jacket

Charles, thank you so much for the concise reply and your learned evaluation in the comparisons. That helps me a lot! And looking closely at the M-43 material is a good point of reference for those of us here who have to make as informed a choice as possible based merely on photo reference and...

Buzz Rickson’s USAAF Superior Togs B-10 Flying Jacket

Charles, that looks fantastic. May I please ask how you think the Buzz Rickson's Superior Togs B-10 compares to the ELC RW B-15-A (the one with the limited NOS fabric)? The obvious knit colours and collar shape aside and the off-set zipper (which I do like), my question refers to me wondering...

    Favorite Forum Member Jacket

I think of all the jackets here - and I think it comes down to seeing one that makes you think "Damn. Now I want that for myself!!!" Sloan's A2 with those great caramel knits ... and Cole's Aero A2 is a winner too. John Lever's older issue ELC ANJ-4. I wish it was mine. Monitor's black Lewis...

Dare to Dream: Your "Ultimate" Leather Jacket

I like a Aero Bootlegger of course, ah, but then there's an Aero Longshoreman! Why go military with an ANJ-4? I'll be commuting and in a car and on the subway and it'd be warm enough... and I love the simple, classic style and this brown...

Dare to Dream: Your "Ultimate" Leather Jacket

I suddenly find myself dreaming and looking around jackets that I have coveted for some years as I suddenly have some unexpected money coming my way and it's a true novelty for me to be able to treat myself - and I'm 50 next week too, so this will be a happy birthday gift to myself! I don't have...

Should I wear my Original GF M422a

Some vintage jackets are rare enough to be cherished and remain unworn, sure, and it's why a nice reproduction is the better option - but for a Vietnam-era jacket, I don't feel this applies nearly as much. If it was mine, and it fitted me like this jacket fits you and I loved it to the same...

Prayers and best wishes to our brothers and sisters in Manchester . . .

I was at Manchester in my university days and it was no stranger to bomb threats back then, but that was then - and an Ariana Grande concert today of all things! Such an unassuming target - and killing and maiming innocent children by design. Unspeakable evil. There's a special layer in hell...

Think you're man enough to handle a BarnStormer flyboy...? No wimps allowed!!

Love the jacket, Worf! You wear it well. And, for my money, the barnstormers that were worn in the old 1980's Biggles movie remain the best I've ever seen. I wish I knew who'd made them ...

    Flight jacket sighting and planes

What a perfect backdrop for that jacket of yours, Nick! And it fits you a treat and suits you well. These are all great photos of something seldom seen and thanks for posting something like this. I think it's perfect for this section of TFL. Cheers! PS. Oh. And I'm VERY envious of your...

New "mud"-splattered denim, anyone? Just US$425 to you, mate.

Oh yes. Sometimes a very appealing benefit... And sometimes distinctly scary like a spontaneous hurricane - the best thing was to say nothing and move only the eyes and nod ....
