New to me Disney. This one is an "Oxford Twenty". light grey with a black ribbon. Nice box bow and a wind trolley. 2 3/4 inch brim with a Cavanagh edge. My guess as to age..... early to mid 1950's.
The other day I was looking for a light weight felt for warmer weather . Found this Marathon on EBay! Listed as a 50's hat... it's actually earlier from the logo.
One of the nicest Cavanaghs I have ever owned. Came to me with the original box as well. It was about a size too large for me though. I passed it on to Moon and I see he put a nice diamond crease in it! Beautiful hat. It had a doctors name on the sweat as I recall........ would have been nice to...
Glad to know you ended up with that Turf Club, Bowen. It's a beauty! Very nice guy that Max!
I have three of these Turf hats now , each from a different decade. They have more differences than similarities I think.
Thank you, Eric. Yes, it is a light grey with just a hint of green. The ribbon is a dark blue green. The felt is very thin and soft but holds a crease with no effort. Glad you like the crease ..... it seemed appropriate for a 30's hat.
Thanks, Bowen. The block number looks like 307 ?. I can't make out the last digit if it is one. Justin's 1930's Turf Club a page back has a nice clear typed re-order tag with the block number 307.
I think that Strat came from the infamous Timothy's Closet on EBay. He described the color as "bark". I had to have it but alas it just never fit me right. Looks good on ya B!
All is well here, Bowen. I have been doing the Social distancing thing for most of my adult life! Except for wearing a mask and gloves.... not much is all that different. How are things with you?
I'm wearing a real nice Knox today.
That is so cool, Brent! I travel to Yosemite as often as I can. It’s a seven hour drive for me . I would certainly visit more often if I lived closer. No place in the world quite like it.
