There are two traditional and reputable shops in Barcelona:
Sombrerería Mil like Celia mentioned, and Sombrerería Obach in Carrer del Call.
They're nicer and have a better assortment at Mil. The owner is a lady called Nuria Arnau, you can let her know I sent you there if you want...

That hat is nicely put together. I'm not much for patriotism of any kind, so getting a Spanish flag ribbon would not do it either. Hope your wife finally makes up her mind!

Today in front of the amazing hexagonal brick chimney (60 meters high) that has survived the passage of time at the now Technical University (since 1906) and previously textile factory. I live a block away and just love it.

Great look Michael! Do you live in a big city with lots of thrift stores? Here in Barcelona we don't have that kind of store (or at least not with that kind of quality garments), but my theory is that in the 50's-60's Spain was a poor country under Franco's dictatorship, not the consumer society...

Today we made pizza's on our Uuni oven and our friends brought a Flor de Pingus bottle of wine (the big brother of this Ribera del Duero wine runs around the $800: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dominio_de_Pingus )... I must say that I cannot taste the difference between a $50...
