Thanks Hatto.
Thanks DD. It's possibly my best condition OR. I think the coat is an offering from Montgomery Ward circa 1953 or so.
Thanks all,
Michael
A dusting of snow overnight. First of the season that has actually stuck around for more than an hour or two. Royal Stetson OR decided it wanted a different dent this morning

Looks great Perry. Nice colors all around.
I can see why the Angora doesn't want to stay in the box. It needs to get out there and see the world.
That Trimble looks like a nice thick felt. Hope you had a great walk.

Thanks D. Your flatcap would look good with it I think.
Thanks Red. Everything goes perfectly with The Sovereign, doesn't it? Or is that everything goes perfectly with tweed? I get confused.
Thanks all,
Michael
Thanks Richard. You don't count Ugg chukkas as boots? Ha ha.
Thanks again. This coat won't be near warm enough for where I'm going for Christmas. The high there is supposed to be below zero for Christmas day and a few more afterwards. I'm not even sure if I'll take any hats that aren't...
Turned into a two hat day here

Turned out to be half price day at my favorite thrift and I found a Harris Tweed overcoat, an argyle sweater and a scarf. Wanted to see them with a grey hat, so The Sovereign...
Dayam. Yes, if we only knew. I remember when I first started visiting thrifts in the late '60s they were full of 1930s and 1940s suits and coats and all other manner. And I'm sure hats galore too. And the army surplus stores were full of actual surplus.
Michael
Thanks Red. Please don't mention fences, they could use plenty of mending around my yard and I'm not very interested in looking into it. Until spring at least.
Nice homburg. I'm still kicking myself for passing on a mint top hat that was of Scottish origin. If I remember the address for the...

Happy hump day all,
Michael
Thanks. It does have an interesting texture. Not at all sure what it is made out of.
That is a gem of a duck tie there. Great form on the ducks.
Thanks,
Michael
