I guess that depends. Maybe the judge did not have a family; and perhaps his work was the only thing that kept him going in life. I've heard that supposedly if this is the case, that can be a main reason for why a spirit hangs around a certain location.
Was that a modern day show? And if so, was it Coast to Coast AM? I used to listen to that show every now and then; especially on Halloween. People send in their ghost stories and experiences; kinda neat stuff.
I shouldn't be reading this thread; it happens to be giving me bad thoughts...mainly about chips, and cookies, and cake.
Seems my main weakness snack wise are chips and popcorn...basically salt. I go through phases with sugar; I crave it like mad for a year or so, then it doesn't do anything...
May I also add my sympathies. I lost a good friend to leukemia just over a year ago; and it was very painful. She was 19 and had only completed one semester of college. I hope that through time, the sorrow may heal to the best of its ability.
I think we have to consider this forum to be like any other community. In the world, and in small microcosms, there are going to be those individuals that we get along with perfectly, and others whom we must steer clear of. That seems to just be a rule of nature; in a species so diverse as...
Hi there,
I am offering up for trade or sale a vintage Adam 5th Avenue fedora. It is a size 6 7/8 (with an estimated 21 7/8" circumference) and a light grey in color.
I purchased this hat off of ebay about a month ago, foolishly thinking that it might barely fit me; sadly though, I have...
Fun to see that I am not the only one with this idea. For many years, I have schemed and planned to decorate my home office vintage, starting in the next year when college is all done.
I found a really nice rolltop desk from the late 1800's in an antique shop last week in Fredericksburg...
Found mine waiting for me in the mail today after getting back into town from vacation. It's already pinned to my Ivy cap ready for action! Very cool looking!
While I have a great fascination with the "Golden Era", I don't really think I could live there. While life in our current time period is not really all it should be, I feel that for a couple of reasons, my life may not be all that great in the past either.
Sometimes when I'm in an antique...
I'm a Gemini, and I must say I fit the split personality thing rather well. One side of me is very practical and obsessive compulsive, almost to a fault; and the other side of me is sort of spontaneous and chaotic. And yes, those two sides are always at war with each other. (and that takes an...
I've been trying to learn Spanish off and on for the past 5 or so years. I took three years of Spanish in high school, and have taken 1.5 in college off and on throughout my semesters.
It's been very hard for me. Seems like the second you stop working it, you start to forget it. And if...
Sigh...all you fellows with your jukeboxes...if I weren't a poor college student...(I can use that excuse for so many things you know..)
I'd love to one day have a vintage jukebox in my home. Guess it could happen. There's just nothing that replaces those bubble lights and the gorgeous...
Speaking of Sydney, I've always wanted to be able to do his specific chuckle/laugh like he did in "Maltese Falcon". I commented to a friend how odd his laugh sounded in that movie, and once the subject was brought up, we burst out laughing each time he laughed in that movie.
That seems to be the problem with an expensive hobby such as hat collecting. It would be so much easier if people would just give them away...:eusa_doh:
My old high school used to have a rule: no hats on inside any buildings. I dont go that far and remove my hat every time I enter a building, but I usually take my hat off anytime I'm going to sit down to eat. If there aren't any hat racks or whatever available, I'll sit it in a vacant seat at...
