I'm not yet convinced that all aspects of metaphysics are valid, but over the years I've experienced a few things that have opened my mind a little so I'm hoping it's a case of becoming a bit more open-minded as I've grown older and not me being just another lemming drinking the Kool Aid.
You will be better off using actual measurements--specifically the inner circumference of the hat's crown/sweatband and the circumference of your head--rather than sizing that might not be accurate.
That blue is lighter/brighter than I expected; I'm not yet sure if I like it more, or less. Oh well, I suppose I'll be saving myself a few bucks until I decide. ;)
This is a popular belief among those who believe in Metaphysics, and it's not exactly new. Albert Einstein, for example, "channeled" most (if not all) of his theories, some of which we're only just beginning to sort out and understand. Elon Musk used technology from his "planet of origin" to...
The first thing these people need to do is STOP MOVING THE CAMERA!!! They appear to be thinking they'll get better/more footage, but all they're doing is making what they want us to see blurry and ill-defined, which works against their purpose. Second, that could be almost ANYTHING.
By comparison to, say, the North or South American mainland, Hawai'i has so few natural resources that most items must be imported in order to maintain modern life as the rest of the planet knows it. As such, I suppose Haole/Caucasians must be included as imports. ;)
I agree. Would I prefer a hat without moth damage? Sure. But if it's there, it's not going to keep me from wearing a hat if I like it enough. As GuitarGuy wrote, it's character.
I know you're generally not a fan of stingy-brimmed hats, but that's a nice one and it looks good on you! Replace that sweat, and you just might have yourself a good casual hat to knock around town in.
Somewhat recently a good friend introduced me to Bones (2005-2017), starring Emily Deschanel as Forensic Anthropologist Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan and David Boreanaz as FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth, working together to solve murders. I don't know how accurate the science is, but it and the...
$7k, depending upon the actual condition, would be a very good deal for that car. I'd be sorely tempted, but ultimately I think I'd be forced to pass it up. No place in my life for a play/fun car at the moment.
For what possible reason would NASA have faked the moon landings?
Malfunction of the human-made measuring instrumentation. I'd have more respect for the people responsible for collecting this information if they had simply come out and said, "Okay, listen, we're only human and there was some...
I see what appears to be a young-ish woman, walking up a hill holding a small cup or bowl, perhaps filled with tea, coffee, or soup. Yeah, I know, we're supposed to see a cell phone in her hands, but I'm not falling for that. ;)
I think the drooling cretins of the world (or the nation, at least) recognize something of themselves in the obnoxious advertising characters, not realizing it's actually an insult.
I'm not so sure the real Elliot Ness wore hats regularly--it's harder to find a photo of Ness in a hat than it probably was to convict Alphonse Gabriel Capone.
I agree. It was a bit like being part of the most winning sports team in world history, but you're the guy who drives the bus and gets no credit. Still, I would like to have met Major General Collins just to ask him that one deceptively simple question: What was it like to be completely alone...
So far I've only been asked this question regarding the neighborhood I grew up in, and currently live in; casual chat with neighbors while walking our dogs when they find out I've lived here (mostly) since 1961.
As I've aged I've slowly adopted the practice of replacing "Ma'am" with "Miss" when...
