I know the guy who ended up with our old farm, he's an odd duck. Also bought my dad's old store downtown, started hanging out with his friends, it was a weird scenario.
Yep, that's the thing. Comes down to the almighty dollar. My dad sold our old farm for 3 times what he paid for it, to some yuppies. The house was listed for 3 days and was sold. We had it underpriced, I guess lol!
We had bought it and fixed it up, they in turn took it to the next level...
Luckily, none of them have kids to raise. These are sixties hippies. They're all old and kids are long gone. They move out here to retire, and complain about the natives, I guess.
That's always my question. I live a simple, country way of life. I don't try to change where I live, because I like the way it is. I don't move elsewhere and tell them that they need to make their town more to my liking. Why do they have to do it to us?
