Sandman is currently the most watched program in over 50 countries (according to Terry Gross in her interview with Gaiman last week). Trust me it WILL be back.

Season One of "Sandman" - Not familiar with the graphic novel, I went into this cold. A bit slow, and the second half is quite a let down story wise, but we thoroughly enjoyed our time in "The Dreaming". As usual, some buffoons are all a dither about the diverse casting veering from those...
Great film! Saw it on Public Television as a kid, then ran into it on TCM years later. The battle on Lake Lagoda was/is fantastic. Pre-war propaganda/warning to the Germans (didn't work) but all in all one amazing film. What an epic!

Well the one I have from several years ago (bought used off of fleabay) is a quality parka. As good as my vintage Viet Nam era Air Force in terms of materials. It's certainly more versatile than military issue. My biggest problem with the coats are the double zips. The main zipper is a...
Puddin's finally getting her Canada Goose Parka. Had to order it in "traditional style" as that fashion stuff is cut too weird. I've had one for years... must have in these cold upstate NY winters.

"Prey" - This HULU original has an interesting premise, what would happen if a Predator arrived in early America, post Columbus but pre 1776. Well this movie shows you what happens when a feral "Yautja" or Predator battles against bows and arrows, stone tomahawks and flintlocks. The Predator...
"The Gray Man" - This Netflix "original" sports an impressive array of talent both behind and in front of the camera. However after 2 plus hours of sturm and drang I was left thoroughly unimpressed. I've seen the same basic plot at least 20 times over mostly in better films (i.e. The Bourne...
Learn sumthin' new every day. At least I like to... Bravo and well done. Personally I'd a left it scuffed and ratty, but at least I know how to do it if I ever want to.

Funny, I reviewed this film years ago when first came out and I LOVED IT! It was such a strange and different take on the Kaiju genre I just fell in love with it. Well acted and well directed I totally suspended my disbelief and ran with it. Sorry you don't feel the same. I personally...
"Westworld" Season 4 - Many folks probably quit this show when it literally "left the park". But I still watch it and enjoy it as it presents some interesting takes on "free will" and control of human kind for it's "betterment". In Seasons 1-3 we see how a corporation, effectively controlled...
Good Wear Capeskin. Only offered for a short time. I'm the 3rd or 4th owner of an A1 in this hide. Soft, supple and amazingly grained. It's been called a "grail jacket" by many on here. I've never taken a decent picture of the hide, but others on here have. Search and you'll find it.

Just finished season 3 of "The Boys". Big setup for little payoff. Yeah the final battle was great but they cheaped out on the ending. Not gonna spoil it for anyone. But I was expecting much more real tragedy than I got. Still it's better television than most of the current fare.

Good post. In that we were literally at a 1.:30 matinee and attending several days AFTER the premiere, there was a small group on hand. The "Gentleminions" as you called them hooted and hollered during the previews but NOT during the actual film. If they were causing a ruckus I didn't hear...
With Covid "at bay" for the moment, I'm back driving Seniors to the movies. Today's matinee was "Minions- The Rise of Gru". I must say, I went in expecting little (the last Despicable Me film was absolute rubbage) but I was pleasantly surprised. First, it had a plot, an actual plot that they...
Season 3 of "The Orville" - Shows you how lackluster a streaming channel HULU is, I didn't even know the new season was airing. After an almost 3 year wait you'd think HULU would've trumpeted this series return.. but no... it didn't. After watching the first 2 episodes it's plain to see that...
"Born on the 4th of July" - There's a scene shown twice in the film. As a child the protagonist witnesses a wounded vet flinching at fire works in a 4th of July parade. Years later after he's paralyzed in Viet Nam he finds himself as the wounded vet flinching and freaking out as fire works...
