Very nice Gene.....
So, you're the one who got that Champ, eh? :eusa_clap
Nice Borso too.....yeah that's a rollup, mines just a Pocket, the difference being the sweatband. Yours is cloth, mines leather.....other than that, they're fairly similar.
The line you see in the end of the bow is a crease. I didn't even notice it until it was too late & already finished. I'll have to try and steam it out I guess. [huh]
How 'bout trying to dampen it with water, then stuff it with a bowl that's a bit larger, something that'll fit nice and snug. Leave it in there over night and see what happens. [huh]
It turned out great Major, as did all of them. It matches Dee's hat perfectly.
Speaking of, the color of that felt on her hat is Gorgeous, it's really a sweet looking lid. Nice job on all of them
Wear them well, you all look great in them. :eusa_clap :eusa_clap
Yep.....one way.
I gave it a whirl.....
HatDoc.....I did do it myself, yes. I found a Lady on ebay that has some very nice vintage grosgrain at great prices. :D
BTW, I'm not familiar with "Shiff's"? Who are they?
Remember that Dobbs Loden Green hat I got awhile back, with the funky cording, and the pin I sent to JT? Well, here's what it now looks like......
The blue grosgrain (7/8"), is darker than shown, the flash distorts it a bit, also....the little highlight in the bow is not white, it's...
Stoney.....
Yes, that's exactly what I'm talking about. Does anyone know how to tie this Ribbon Treatment?
Also, what era does it come from?
Thanks Bruce. ;)
I couldn't have said any better myself Maj.Nick. :eusa_clap
I'm a Stingy guy at heart but I do have wider brim fedoras as well......I must say though all of the (40+) are vintage. :D
It all depends on if you want protection from the sun more so or not on your face? That would decide on the...
Picture....
I'll look for a picture, in the mean time.....if anyone else knows what I'm talking about and might even have a hat with this type of ribbon/bow, maybe they can post a pic for me. Thanks in advance.
