    What's on your dresser?

I got the hanky box an an auction and it was filled with wonderful old hankies, too. Would love to see a pic of your dresser top. :)

    What's on your dresser?

Aren't they zany? :) I don't know much about them other than they look like shady characters. They are made of cloth and I'm guessing they are from the 1940's. As for your armoire, the dish with the playing cards is cool! I like the whole look.

    What's on your dresser?

I have depression hobnail glass vanity items, an Art Deco handkerchief box, an occupied Japan figurine, some Victorian books, and some wacky dolls I found inside an antique steamer trunk. It's basically vintage clutter. :)

Do you use one of those fancy solar dryers?

Regarding fabric softeners, I'm allergic to most detergents, etc so I will look and see if there is one that is fragrance-free sensitive skin types.

Do you use one of those fancy solar dryers?

You know, a rope going across your lawn? ;) My electrified dryer had died and while I was between dryers I took to old-fashioned line drying. I noticed that my clothes dried quite rigid, and my towels were rough. Although I have a new dryer now I may want to still do some line drying. Any...

    true pulp

The Hooded Hawk Ken knelt down and began making calculations with his tape measure. The premiere of the new car went off as planned- until murder stole the show.

    true pulp

The men in her life This is typical for the pulp-like stories inside the mag, I just love them! There are some more whodunit type cheesy stories, but also lots of romance for the gals: There was Hilary, the man she married. And Brian, who came close. Giles, who could make her forget her...

    true pulp

Outrageous and sometimes offensive was the norm, that's for sure! And you are right, the descriptions are nutty. I need to go dig around. I'll be back shortly for show and tell. In the meantime, would love to see more, just nothing *too* over the top or not suitable for all eyes. ;)

    true pulp

I love vintage pulp! Golden era magazines also had some great pulp-like illustrations inside to go along with the short stories. I will try and scan some soon.

    Vintage Paintings

Does anyone here have any original vintage oil paintings? When I first started attending estate auctions six years ago I was shocked at how one could affordably build a nice collection of original art for the same price as a cheap repros sold today. For example, I won this beautiful 19th...
