You mean he's giving up the Marine cut? lol The threshold of manhood, indeed!
My future hubs does a plain shaved head, but still watches Spongebob Squarepants. I'm still waiting, needless to say...
Sounds exciting indeed! The Middy is great because it still works even when it gets longer. The back can grow as much as you like, so long as the top and sides are kept the right length. :)
You American weirdo's, having Thanksgiving in November! lol
Exactly! Beauty was your duty - The soldiers needed morale, which was beautiful women to come home to. Anything for victory.
Personally, I think all soldiers, past and present, still deserve the respect. I wouldn't think of embarrassing my soldier by showing up in something I'd wear to...
I missed a few posts along the way:
Holy toledo  He is very handsome! As a matter of fact, he looks like young Marlon.
He looks like a cuter version of young Paul McCartney :)
Top hat, white tie and tails... How dapper! They're the kind you would follow anywhere.
I would do the same! Most of the military chicks I know, not even the huge burly boys would mess with. They are very tough!
I've got to ask my beau for some clarification.
Good job :eusa_clap I got the weird looks in my long coat and heels too. It's amazing how people justify such disrespect. One of the veterans wives was kind enough to tell me how nice I looked... I guess she noticed the same!
Not terribly - The current exchange rate from Pound Sterling to US Dollars is £1 = $0.67, and to Canadian Dollars is $0.55. For me its roughly double, for you it'll be about 1/3 more. Just make sure you check your currency converter before you see £38 and jump for joy! lol
Inky - I figured...
Oh, my aching bank statement...
I just bought these. They'll be sent across the pond to my waiting arms (and legs) on the 20th of this month.
Gotta stop reading Amanda Lee's blog!
I haven't looked to see if these were previously posted, but they're good shots anyway:
Asta of course was only the characters' dog, but they're a cute picture :)
Upon further reflection, ma'am would not offend me if I were an obviously middle aged lady (55+) with kids and accomplishments. Ma'am is a truncated version of Madam, and Madams to me are ladies who's age earns them the respect of the title.
I'd love to hear what everyone else thinks.
That's the effect I wanted ;) Helena Rubenstein was an inspirational lady.
Hop in my car, I'd love to burglarize Inky's closet with you! You've been warned, Inky my dear. lol
PS. Auntie Mame is one of my favourite movies.
I wish I could afford 45 smackers for Guerlain lipstick :( I have a gold mascara that you put on the tips of your lashes, and a beautiful deep gold lip gloss. It's pure heaven in a tube...
It's enough to make you want to do the Anna Nicole Smith thing (marrying an aged billionaire, that is!)
