    Music

I believe that music is most definitely something important for us humans; throughout history we have made music. Prior to the days of being able to record it (via record, tape, cd, hard drive, etc) families and friends would get together and make live music together. It's obvious that music...

    What is your biggest vice?

Mine would probably have to be coffee... I find if I don't have at least a few cups within a short time of getting up in the morning, my day just doesn't feel right; and the cobwebs never completely leave my skull...

    psychology of the hat wearer

If only that could be true... But yes...I think I know where you all are coming from. I notice my personality and behavior seems to change slightly when I put on my hat.

Hats and vintage: With or without Indy?

I voted IJ was irrelevant. It was film noir detectives for me...

Anyone else dreading the new Indiana Jones film?

That describes exactly the way I feel. I admit that six or so years ago when I started wearing a fedora, it was to look like Sam Spade or Phillip Marlowe from the Golden Era of Film Noir (not quite Indiana Jones, but a fictional movie character is the same regardless of who it is). Yet...over...

Looks like an interesting publication; I'll have to check it out. Maybe some summer reading material. Thanks for sharing!

I'm I missing something? Whippet? Really?

I think most of the people on the lounge, as well as other individuals knowledgeable in vintage Stetsons can easily point out Stetsons that are not Whippets. As some of the others have pointed out, Whippets have just distinct features (the higher crown, ribbon width, bound brim), makes them so...

What Hat Are You Wearing Today 1?

It's been a while since I've posted a picture of me in my VS Featherweight, so thought I'd post this taken today. It's a been more chilly outside than the average spring weather, so it seems appropriate.

Coffee bath...I should try that...might help me stay awake throughout the day.

    iPhone, with rotary dialer

That looks pretty cool. I wonder if it makes the cool "clickity-clack" noises.

Any "new" old radios out there in Fedoraville?

Yes, I'd say that is true. I think all the young people at the Lounge (myself included) are probably not the norm as far as these vintage things are concerned.

    New Jazz Artist: Eddie Wakes

Wow...now that's talent! He sounds an awful lot like Nat King Cole. He needs to get recorded!

Any "new" old radios out there in Fedoraville?

So many radios of different styles and designs, so little time, money, and space!

Let's See Your Watches! The Vintage Watch Thread.

I think all the styles look fun too. In looking at the Circa website (www.circawatch.com) it looks like you can sign up for an email notification when they release new models. All their models look so unique that I kind of see this as another expensive "collect 'em all" hobby. Brian, if...

Let's See Your Watches! The Vintage Watch Thread.

Interesting you mention that, Jay. I've been told at times I wear my watch a little farther down on my arm than right at the wrist, where I guess the majority of wristwatch wearers have theirs. I think that's due to the fact that it has slowly dawned on me that I have a smaller wrist than the...

Let's See Your Watches! The Vintage Watch Thread.

Here is the Circa Timepiece watch I ordered last week. So far, I like it a lot. It runs well, feels well made, and looks to be a perfect resemblance of many of the vintage tank watches from the 1930's.
