    I echo the steel wool trick.. espeacially if you can go back and re-dye (shoe polish) the affected areas.. How bad is it? .. do the spots really detract from the look of the vintage jacket as opposed to adding character?

    I had the black goatskin wills jacket.. it was nice, but it wasn't that nice.. The waxed canvas jacket is a much better jacket. I don't think the pattern works that great as a leather jacket, but I admit I didn't give it too much of chance to break in.

    Nick, howzit look with the sleeve zips done up? would that help with the sleeve length appearance? I also dont think you're destined to lose a 1/2 inch to sleeve creases..it may be so minimal that you'll never notice.

    Nice pick-up! Vintage is definitely the way to go.. they're out there if you take some time to look. Don't over look the Lee 81-LJ-(lined work coat)... makes a nice change of pace to the short denim there are a ton of these out there too.. most about $80
