I cant imagine that they weren't, but I assume that's a really popular size especially internationally.. its my opinion/observation that most GW fit smaller than tagged, so you may want to look at 44, 42, etc.. this one is labeled a 46 but the seller says it fits like a 42?? so who knows.
its...
I echo the steel wool trick.. espeacially if you can go back and re-dye (shoe polish) the affected areas..
How bad is it? .. do the spots really detract from the look of the vintage jacket as opposed to adding character?
Not mine, not cheap, but its a Good Wear.. for those into that type of thing....

I am way to calculated to have a "grab n go" jacket.. there is always a small amount of thought put into the one I am going to be wearing..
I wont say it always looks good.. but i tried.
100% agreed.. I expected to be shocked.. it was nothing.
btw at the end of the Stu article is a video link to an interview of Ken Calder from Aero ( from 2016 but i had never watched it before) that was pretty good and with a great sound track too!
You wear it well Ton.. But I do see your criticisms..Hold on to it through one jacket season and see if you ever wear it.. whats another year on a 70 year old jacket.
Post all the pics you want @Downunder G Man.. we are all sweltering in the heat of summer up north of the equator and are jealous of anyone who can wear a jacket right now.

I don't think the pattern works that great as a leather jacket, but I admit I didn't give it too much of chance to break in.
@Feliksas.. I wasn't trying to imply that you had hit the lottery by owning a jacket made by Greg, but only point put that to a small number of aficionados ( mostly here of TFL ) that this one jacket might be a little bit special.
Field Leather jacket website if you aren't familiar is...
This jacket still looks great! including the fit! you"ve earned every crease, stain and any saggy-ness.
"Beware the man who only owns one Jacket"
I noticed that this jacket was made by Greg Field, now that he has branched off on his own it makes this one a bit more interesting.. I hope you...
Nick, howzit look with the sleeve zips done up? would that help with the sleeve length appearance?
I also dont think you're destined to lose a 1/2 inch to sleeve creases..it may be so minimal that you'll never notice.
Nice pick-up! Vintage is definitely the way to go.. they're out there if you take some time to look.
Don't over look the Lee 81-LJ-(lined work coat)... makes a nice change of pace to the short denim
there are a ton of these out there too.. most about $80
Very, Very nice fit & finish! you're putting the rest of us to shame with your recent jacket additions...
I don.t mean to diminish your new jacket but my only nit-pick of Greg's jackets are the snaps at the cuff.. I'd prefer a button there.. but I imagine a button hole machine is a big...
