Which brands make a slim A2?

Yes, just size down or go for the Eastman -- although note that the Eastman slim fit doesn't come in their most beautiful hide, the Warhorse. SJ

    Simply about leathers

I've been to the Fez tannery. Incredible sight. And, yes, the leather-workers do look like slaves. Morocco was famed for its leather goods centuries ago but quality these days is generally unexceptional. Nice slippers, though.

Aero 38-1711-P Type A-2, red knits, size 40, great condition

Lovely trim-fitting Aero A2 jacket in seal brown jerky horsehide with red knits. About a year old, just developing some patina for you to build on. Measurements shown in the pictures; I'm exactly six foot (184cm) and it fits me very well. Here's the link to the jacket on the Aero site...

    Proper relaxed A2 fit

A-2s need to be trim-fitting. Otherwise they just make you look older. The A-2 is not a naturally flattering cut, hence the need for a close fit. Painful to some (in whichever way you wish to take that?) but true. I have just bought a trim A-2 from Eastman and it is beautiful. SJ

Thurston Italian Vicenza Horsehide Full Grain Veg.-Tanned Horsehide for Aero Jackets

Hm, I can see why Aero is extending its leather range. Its FQHH is really its only standout hide (and it is beautiful). The leather it uses on its A-2s, for example, hasn't the same character at all as Eastman A-2s or, I gather, LW's. So it makes sense that Aero is venturing out into hides, eg...

Carrie, do you have any pics/further details of the new Italian leather? Will you also be using it for the A-2s? SJ

Aero v Eastman A2s: which leather more characterful?

A2 enthusiasts, wanted to pick your brains here. I have an Aero A2 in seal brown jerky horsehide. Reason for my post is that I wandered into Son of the Stag, a great retro clothing store in London, today and tried on some of their Eastman A2s. I was struck by how lovely the leather was, with...

Thanks for the kind comments, fellas. I think the Maxwell is a great jacket. Wdw, the stitching is actually "light tan": suggestion courtesy of Carrie at Insurrection. And fit feels close to the 30s HB. SJ

Loungers, I've had the Maxwell a few months now – it's taken a while for me to post pictures. Typically, this being London – even in spring – there isn't much light, but I hope these will do. I'm very pleased with the jacket; the fit feels just right. No modifications, except for two inner...
