    Coldest Weather I've been in

Today's daytime temperature is 9C which means it's already too cold for my A2. I barely get to wear it much each year, maybe a few days in the fall. I guess it was a pointless purchase!

The ladies/teen mall jacket this season is . . .

You know your society's culture is doomed when the younger generations, who should be learning about it and embracing it and valuing it, see it as nothing more than a disposable fashion trend or something for hipsters to pose in. I'm glad you mentioned Maiden... holy carp, I bet those kids...

    U.S. Navy bridge coats

I think you will find that the military ones are more like a civilian overcoat, i.e. cut to fit over a suit with shoulder pads. So if you don't like that, then perhaps re-think.

    U.S. Navy bridge coats

The Fidelity coats are not military coats, but they're very good quality and very heavy. I'm glad it's worked out for you, smm! (also, full marks for posting in this thread instead of starting a new one, ha ha)

The ladies/teen mall jacket this season is . . .

Oh ffkk don't get me started. I was getting the car filled up a couple weeks ago at the gas station (full serve) and the cute high school girl who works there had on an AC/DC shirt. I said I was pleased to see she was a fan, whereupon she answered "I don't know, someone just gave me the shirt".

    MA-1 Flight jacket

I've had a few of their recent jackets go through my hands and they're very well constructed, better than their older USA made jackets by a mile. Materials tend to be thin, insulation thin, and the fit on their non-classic MA-1 are long and snuggish (which is actually good for tall thin people)...

    Vintage Photos of Leather Jackets

Further to that discussion of the leather jacket in "The Big Sleep", here's Brando in a famous movie which needs no introduction - note the same huge waist drop from the chest as with the Big Sleep jacket. Definitely a vintage fit with that generous upper body and small waist. Schott today seems...

The Indiana Jones jacket. Much hype, little substance?

Thanks Doc Strange, for posting about Wested. I'd forgotten about them. With the UK pound being weak right now, their jackets are more attractive all the time.

    RMCNZ B3 Whiteskin

I suspect it's a way of securing the collar down when the collar is closed. One of the two loops on the collar might fit into it. Experiment.

Once it's worn in and worn out and marked up it will look amazing and everyone will try to steal it from you. It's only going to get better with age.

German police jacket. I'm guessing the snaps on the front and back are to attach a reflective vest or something.

A word to men who wear high boots

They certainly do. I haven't seen a proper pair of riding boots in ages, nor anyone wearing them. I think they are a great choice for women for winter. About 20 years ago I was tempted to get a pair made for me by a store who had some beautiful brown ones, although I would not have had much...

    Coldest Weather I've been in

So... is everyone gearing up for another Canuck winter? Possibly a cold one, if the weather 'experts' are to be believed (although they can't even get yesterday's weather right). I'm not holding my breath. I actually like fall best of all, cool but not cold, and with a refreshing wind not a...

Is there a line and, if so, how/where do you draw it?

THANK YOU for stating that so clearly. One of my old friends said the slope is a lot steeper and slippery than most people realize or are willing to admit.
