Today's daytime temperature is 9C which means it's already too cold for my A2. I barely get to wear it much each year, maybe a few days in the fall. I guess it was a pointless purchase!
You know your society's culture is doomed when the younger generations, who should be learning about it and embracing it and valuing it, see it as nothing more than a disposable fashion trend or something for hipsters to pose in. I'm glad you mentioned Maiden... holy carp, I bet those kids...
I think you will find that the military ones are more like a civilian overcoat, i.e. cut to fit over a suit with shoulder pads. So if you don't like that, then perhaps re-think.
The Fidelity coats are not military coats, but they're very good quality and very heavy. I'm glad it's worked out for you, smm!

Thanks Doc Strange, for posting about Wested. I'd forgotten about them. With the UK pound being weak right now, their jackets are more attractive all the time.

I haven't seen a proper pair of riding boots in ages, nor anyone wearing them. I think they are a great choice for women for winter. About 20 years ago I was tempted to get a pair made for me by a store who had some beautiful brown ones, although I would not have had much...
So... is everyone gearing up for another Canuck winter? Possibly a cold one, if the weather 'experts' are to be believed (although they can't even get yesterday's weather right). I'm not holding my breath. I actually like fall best of all, cool but not cold, and with a refreshing wind not a...
THANK YOU for stating that so clearly. One of my old friends said the slope is a lot steeper and slippery than most people realize or are willing to admit.
