Grüß Di' Tom,
I've been reenacting since 1977 when I was a senior in high school. Back in those days, many people were still wearing original uniforms because there were no or very few reproductions! I've been through my fair share of reenactments and living history events both here in the...

These anoraks from Lancashire Pike are marvelous! Though the price is killer. The first one is based on a post-war British Army anorak. The second one is German. I like that they used one of my Gebirgsjäger portrait photos in their gallery, though they don't credit me for it or asked for...
Grüß Di' Fastuni,
Drei mal Horrido! Outstanding find in such condition. It would look lovely with my vintage DSV ski cap! I am always looking for vintage civilian and military mountaineering items. I have a few ASMü items in my collection, along with many Gebirgsjäger items.

Grüß Di' Fahrradkameraden,
Took a break from my modern mountain bike, and rode in the Washington, DC "Tweed Ride" the first weekend in November. I took 'Liesl,' my 1937 Truppenfahrrad, for a spin through downtown DC with 600 other riders. It was a great event and will definitely do the ride...
Servus Giftmacher,
Thanks for the info! I did a little more research into the Torpedo Hubs and it looks like my hubs are post-war from the 1950's. My Truppenfahrrad frame is dated 1937, so I guess I'm now searching for hubs from the 1930-40's. If you know of any available, please let me...
Grüß Di' Giftmacher,
To the best of my knowledge...which isn't much, the Torpedo/Schweinfurt hub is original. "Made in Germany" was used pre-war through the end of the war. Why do you not think it's original?

Hei Martti,
Yes they are a special avalanche/snow shovel for mountain troops. The picture you posted shows the Swiss Alpine Rucksack with the snow shovel and ice axe for mountaineering.
Bergheil und Horrido!

Greetings Mr. Lilleythorpe,
Many thanks for your compliment! Here are a few more:
And here's a bit of my Gebirgsjäger collection:
