Cool padded CR. Prolly a 38 if measurements are accurate. Seller seems knowledgeable. Talon zips. No brand. $65 opening bid no reserve. Crappy quality pics...
I was thinking RoughWear myself. I don't have any experience with Monarchs in person. Something about those front pockets made me think RoughWear even though they aren't those rounded edged ones that you have on one of your RWs. Part of it is the graining but for some reason the look made me...
That is accurate IMO. Of the three companies I mentioned, the nicest old stuff I have seen are a few Reed CRs and the old Fidelity jackets. I actually think that Fidelity is the higher end of the three quality and reputation wise. Even their later steerhide isn't terrible for the price point...
I have seen a couple of nice Excelled jackets. Both of them early ones. I think of that company as similar to Reed and Fidelity in that they once made decent stuff then they veered into higher production and/or fashion level jackets and sorta watered down what they once were quality wise. Not...
There is more to this company than the many Cafe Racers they made. They have some history. This is yet another older label and older jacket. Maybe they deserve their own thread if for no other reason----to inform the public WHO MADE THEM since I would guess 90% more of their jackets do not...
It seems like that HH label is off center----which is part of what is being said about the potentially shadiness. To me, the leather looks mostly unremarkable regardless of the hide.
That a person would take the time to stitch in a non original HH label into a jacket is a new level of...
Schott 618 Brown w Brass--- This may have been posted previously. Overall its in good condition other than that its got a shoulder issue. I dig the look. A little different with the brown and the brass. Low starting bid...
Not sure what this is. Not a Cal---by the belt loops. Fur sleeves though. Al's??? Its in excellent shape---looks like NOS level condition--- and a very good price BIN -- IMO. But not for the large size, (26 p2p) I'd nab it. Nice Talon Brass hardware. Someone will score...
Did you happen to snag it??? Appears to have conflicting size tags. 42? 44? I have seen the one tag before (the 42)....... the tags and labels I fear are too generic to rely upon........ If you got it you may be able to provide some additional info once its in your hands.
Schott has a label that sorta looks similar. I was thinking of who all made the 2 Star jackets but those were made by multiple makers at the time so I don't think that is a slam dunk identifier
I have seen that label on Lost World jackets. It's one of the generic labels. I'm sure they bought NOS. I have seen it on multiple random branded jackets.
Here is a LW
Fidelity Cafe Racer. Very Low opening Bid. Very Very Very short arms.........................AKA the "Flipper Baby" model..... zippers look pretty crummy...
All sorta subjective on whether repairs are worth it here.
Nice graining. Without knowing the brand you can't truly gauge the overall value so it makes it kinda tough to contemplate value after repairs. Clearly you're looking at $200 or so for the main zipper repair and it could be more if...
