That is accurate IMO. Of the three companies I mentioned, the nicest old stuff I have seen are a few Reed CRs and the old Fidelity jackets. I actually think that Fidelity is the higher end of the three quality and reputation wise. Even their later steerhide isn't terrible for the price point...- Claybertrand

I have seen a couple of nice Excelled jackets. Both of them early ones. I think of that company as similar to Reed and Fidelity in that they once made decent stuff then they veered into higher production and/or fashion level jackets and sorta watered down what they once were quality wise. It seems like that HH label is off center----which is part of what is being said about the potentially shadiness. To me, the leather looks mostly unremarkable regardless of the hide. Schott has a label that sorta looks similar. I was thinking of who all made the 2 Star jackets but those were made by multiple makers at the time so I don't think that is a slam dunk identifier- Claybertrand

All sorta subjective on whether repairs are worth it here. Nice graining. Without knowing the brand you can't truly gauge the overall value so it makes it kinda tough to contemplate value after repairs.
