^^ Yes. They are still operating. I have been to one of their factories in Kewanee, IL. For some time, until recently, they had a "factory store" there, however it seems to be closed now.
Their older products - such as your nice CR, are pretty decent. Newer ones were iffy in terms of quality.
So to clarify, this is only #47 so far of the "cross zip style..."
Actually who really knows? I know I have not kept track. Probably should have but might get a bit depressed.
In any event the Johnson shipped out this afternoon headed to it's new owner. Less than 90 minuites...
It's always your choice of course, however around FL - it's a well understood practice that if something arrives and does not fit just right, or is just not quite what you expect, then the new owner simply posts it back up for sale "Catch & Release." No harm, no foul. There is quite a bit of...
Now THIS is an awesome gesture! With all Monitor has been through in the past year - it's great that folks on here are showing care & concern. Especially for one who is an over-the-top jacket addict! :)
Perfect in every way! Not a jacket you'll see coming your direction anywhere, let alone on here. I'd keep that gem if I were you and it fit the way it does.
I reached out to them via e-mail about 2 weeks back - no response so far. If anyone has better information on how to get a hold of...

Nice work getting the photos uploaded. I was working on a post that described it, then my internet died and it was, well not good.
That's a very nice jacket there. The "restoration" one I had also have the blue wool lining. This has a lot of the same details. Quite a nicely preserved piece...
Just to add in here, I also had a Branded Garmets cross zip a while back and it seemed of quite good, heavy, quality. IT was not a "soft" a hand as say a Fox Creek Leather. The sleeves were much too short for me, which is common, so I moved it on at a break-even level.
To me, (from an...
Carlos - as many others have indicated, deeply sorry for your loss. Hope are able to take time to grieve/process.
Sure do like this whole progression of your jackets! Great to see some good news here.
Also great to see the instagram photos of the Vanson staff!
^^ this is what I am afraid of with this jacket. It looks exceptionally nice and probably would be awesome to witness in hand. The details, the Western V-yoke, pockets, zippers, zip sleeves and even the collar are all nice. It has an edge but is not "edgy" if that makes sense. Is it made of...
Here you go - some extended reading materal on this subject (with a few deviations of course) :)
