Ole, Based on my previous experience I’d tell you to go up in size. The A-1 is very slim fitting.. unless your after a fit tight enough for a cockpit. A little extra room is better.
As an aside I found the forearms and wrist really tight.. no big wrist watches
Carlos is right on, the hide has a middle layer that is un-dyed, but it is a grayish color, It isn’t the brown under layer I would expect from something called “tea-core”.
The resulting color in the areas where the black has worn off is not unpleasant but for this particular jacket it was...
I’ll start.... so I purchased a Lost Worlds Easy Ryder from eBay the other day, the jacket looked like it had been artificially worn in some places. I decided to add some color back to it in an effort to make it more wearable for me.

I Just took another look at the LW website cause I figured this "Easy Ryder" was the same as the "Ryder" jacket but with a different collar, but the Ryder doesn't have the shoulder gussets.
The gussets makes this a really comfortable...
