    RIP Land Rover Defender

Truly a sad day, my grandfather worked there in the special design section or whatever it was called and apart from a VW Kubelwagen is my ideal car although I have changed to Freelander at the moment. This is one EU Directive that sucks.

    The Adventurer's Gear Thread

While in Fortnum and Mason yesterday I spotted this wonderful piece of campaign furniture, it may be new but I would love to purchase one set. Truly a great piece of design and style! The quality of the oak, leather and brass is second to none but then for £1700 I guess it would be. The chair I...

What was the last TV show you watched?

Sorry I know Agatha Christies drama is supposed to be set in Devon and while I like Devon I had a fondness for Cornwall first and the inparticular the Lizard peninsula, hence spotting Mullion and Kynance.

What was the last TV show you watched?

You will not be disappointed as 1 is it is rather a good drama, 2 Aidan has quite a role in it and so I assume you are a Poldark fan too? Also a good drama with only some scenes set in Cornwall. I hope you get to watch it soon.

What was the last TV show you watched?

I quite enjoyed 'and then there were none' on the BBC that was shown over Christmas, started watching it as I recognised Mullion Cove and Kynance Cove in Cornwall at the beginning and then found the interior of the house rather nice (Art Deco style) also thought is a rather good rendition of the...

    Is Renault a reincarnation?

I came across this picture and I had a double take I thought it was Renault and a link to this forum but no it is Horace Kephart although I still think it is Camp Ironsights. :-) You see Bob you have such style that I just expected this to be you, although you cut a more dashing pose...

    Camp Ironsights

That would keep me going for quite a while by what a way to eat! Sadly we do not have elk over here but I found a Lithuianian who sells elk sausage and salami over in Bury St Edmunds the other week and they also had beaver which is one I had never tried before, bit fatty for my taste but enjoyable.

Yes, Oldsarge. South Africa and Tanzania and North Arfica too but never West Africa, although I was supposed to go to Uganda once but went to India instead. I loved all my time in Africa but gutted I never saw a dung beetle! Although to hear the roar of a Lion is one I will not forget. Need...

    The Adventurer's Gear Thread

To help with my kids adventure/safari theme I framed this "old" map in a dissused frame that had an old angling print in it that I was going to chuck. The map of the dark continent cost me $3.00 from Disney (it was the Animal Kingdom Lodge [huh] )and is supposed to be parchment (perhaps it's...
