Received this beautiful Amiata color, rollable Borsalino from Michaelshane who kindly responded to the ad I posted wanting to buy a gray "antica casa"
Reeded, very thin, taped sweat. Lined and pristine felt, one of the nicest Borsalinos I've handled. Thanks again, Michael!
+1. If steam along with brushing doesn't help, the hat sponge should be your plan B. It will brush and remove and raise the felt without the damage you can cause with sandpaper if you don't know how to use it.
Agree. Or Lightly steam the spot and if you own a hat sponge (one of these http://www.sheplers.com/hat-care-cleaning-sponge.html) use it over the area. It will even out the felt and remove any superficial dust and scratch. Sometimes steam along will do the job. A picture will definitely help for...
Definitely, Perry. Too light for the winter. I took it out fo a test drive of the vent. I will, though, have to wear it on certain Fridays when my soccer game is scheduled before 8:00pm and I have to change clothes in my office and head straight to the field.
Took my Cervo traveler out, perfect sunny, windy day in NYC. The vents I put only sort of air the inside. There were times when I could feel a little bit of cold right under that spot. Let's see what happens during the fall and summer.
